In the summer of 2020, a viewer of my channel reached out to me to see if I would be interested in taking on his VW R32. The car was "trapped" in Fernie, BC during the pandemic. Once travel restrictions were lifted, he drove the car from Fernie to my place. He flew back to Ontario and I spent the better part of a week completely spoiling it.

Fast forward three years, and my friend is back for another dose of the RAD treatment. This unique Volvo was purchased in Vancouver and driven directly to my garage. The non-metallic Rebel Blue paint on this 2015 Volvo S60 Polestar required some extensive work to return it to near-perfect condition. I wasn't too concerned with chasing each and every imperfection since there were signs that this car has undergone a respray at some point in its life. The paint depth measurements were all over the place. I took a conservative approach to the correction stage using The Last Cut Compounding Glaze and a Rupes wool pad on my two Rupes DA machines. I followed that up with a refinement polish using DIY Detail's Gold Standard Polish and their red waffle finishing pad on my ShineMate rotary polisher. Along the way, I used a variety of products from Armour Detail Supply including their Quartz Coating to lock in the gloss and lustre of this striking Rebel Blue paint. Many hours were spent completing and capturing this project, so it is my hope you enjoy the transformation.
