I feel like you could describe 90% of all the conversations you could possibly have with anyone with that picture alone, just from the sheer lunacy that life is capable of spontaneously generating. Fallout's good at capturing that lunacy, with different approaches in every iteration (76 captured the lunacy of Bethesda, for example)
He's pretty accurate with guns but his like the fallout games said. You need special training to use the armor properly or else you will ends up can't even hold your gun right.
@@Cyril-Figgis1Executive assistant* Hank was never an exec. Cooper’s wife was. Cooper recalled Hank picking up his wife’s laundry, so it was clear that Hank was pretty low on the Vault Tec corporate ladder. He’s middle management at best. The execs at Vault Tec are either with the Enclave or in “one of the good vaults” like Cooper’s wife put it. They are not in 31.
This scene gives me an idea. The game needs to incorporate this where fiends and raiders can appear non-hostile to players, displaying as 'Wastelander' or 'Settler' on the HUD and acting innocent until you get close but there should also be giveaways like signs of drug usage and giving off that creepy stare.
Bethesda did this in Skyrim, I think the Dawnguard DLC is where you can find some vampires took Stendar's follower outfit and try to trick player. Their name would be some non-hostile name until you see some naked corpses hidden around the vampires, or you can see their vampire eyes if you had the red vampire eye mods.
I just play Fallout 4 on PC with the Immersive iHud mod which gives you the option to take all health bars and names off of NPCs and enemies. It means when I run into humans in the game, I always have to identify their faction by their clothing to determine if they're going to be a threat or not. There have been times where I accidentally killed a settler or started a fight with a group of friendly scavengers, but I feel it just adds to the chaos of the wasteland. Also not having health bars over enemies like deathclaws or super mutant behemoths makes the fights far more challenging as you never know if you're only one shot away from killing it or lots and you should maybe run now like Titus did.
@@ChartreuseDan Not true. There are scavengers in Fallout 4 that won't attack you on sight but raise their weapon in your direction and warn you to not come any closer. If you simply walk away from the area, then they will go back to their standard animations, but if you ignore their warnings and move closer to them then they will attack you forcing you to kill them. There is one guy just east of Sanctuary, across the water, practicing his target shooting. He only gets hostile if you get too close to him but otherwise won't attack.
Same, as the show went on I caught myself smiling ear to ear like a kid with love in my heart, this show was amazing and warmed my atomic heart as a Fallout fan
I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch almost the entire series imagining this 😂Watching the first episode of the season with a friend, we both thought about how it would look like in one of the games.
When I saw this scene for the first time I jumped in my seat and said "SPEECH CHECK" as soon as they showed the fiends. Thankfully they executed this absolutely perfect!
I was honestly kind of surprised by how tense this scene made me feel. This show was so much better than I thought it was gonna be and I’m so happy for it
@@robertagren9360 you know for a fact he has dumb luck. Also he doesn’t use charisma here because a fight breaks out and he has to kill them. He perceives them as threats. Maximus does indeed have 1 intelligence though. My rationale is when they were in vault 4. He was able to tell Lucy was in trouble, but Maximus is too stupid to realize they were actually good people.
@@harvesterofeyes8813 Believe me, with only 30 or so mods, I turned the Commonwealth into a what-if MLP Season 4. And I never seen the show, but I’m gonna say what I made via mods is the canonical version.
That was some quality editing. I can tell a lot of work went into this. Loved it when her persuasion check failed and it popped up and the guy is like “What the F you talking about?” 😂
As a 42 year old life long fan of the Fallout series. You guys did a fantastic job. I always imaged it a little more mad max...however, this TV series is damn good. Well done ... you all should be proud of this work.
Man. This really takes it to a new level lol. Makes me want to rewatch it all through the lens of the game just like this. Some parts of the show made the references obvious but this dialogue exchange is so much more hilarious as a speech check 😂
Someone pointed out online that you can kinda tell when the main 3 characters are making a dialogue choice, and I think your edit here helps highlights that
This was really such a great scene though. It showed how unsettling any encounter in the wasteland can go. It showed Maximus’s good intuition and skill. And Lucy’s naive faith in civility. Great acting all around.
I think Lucy doesn’t even have much charisma, she’s clearly good at agility and perception given her shooting range in episode 1. But she’s trying to play a pacifist run lol
The attempts to persuade Lucy not to leave the vault seemed the most game-referency thing of all. Just the "let me say something lame but maybe I'll get lucky".
