Fun fact about Indonesia: the most western part of Indonesia (Aceh province) is geographically closer to Beijing or even Dubai than to the most easter part (South Papua province). That is one of the challenge to develop this country equally, add to the fact that they are scattered by more than 17.000 islands.
Bahasa Indonesia (the national language of Indonesia) was currently chosen to be an official language of UNESCO, it made Bahasa Indonesia an international recognition. So, if you're trying to find a new international-language to learn, there's no reason to not choose Bahasa Indonesia. Its simplicity has successfully united all the 700+ languages spoken in Indonesia and 1000+ ethnicity living here.
Love this interview Chai!!! My husband and I have never been there; however, watching your adventures there have us put this country on our bucket list 😊 Thanks for sharing Chai🙏🏼
Thanks Marietta 😃 that’s a big compliment and when you do visit I’m sure you’ll love it. It is very different then other surrounding countries we find :)
If you want to go to Indonesia, there will be presidential elections held simultaneously throughout Indonesia on 14 February 2024, maybe this could be something to consider if you want to visit Indonesia 😊
Indonesia 🇮🇩 ❤ peoples are our brothers and sisters very kind down to earth and humble human beings, its my dream to visit one day inshallah to this beautiful country chai , you made me fall in love with this beautiful country ❤ ✌️👍😊
Interesting Historical part. There is so more much to learn of this Big Country and the many Islands. I think, you and me as a Dutchman, know already a little bit more as the Common Visitor. Very Interesting History, you can read it on Wikipedia or on Google. A must when you go visit this Big And Beautiful Country. And for you it is still more Special Chai. (en je moeder ook natuurlijk!) 🙏
Thats's right mate :) We grew up with a bit more of the history because we're Dutch indeed. I'm glad we're able to explore it like the way we're doing it. We're back in Thailand already (still working on a few videos in Jakarta). Hopefully we're back sometime next year to explore it more. Thanks Gert!
The fun part of being Indonesian is most people can speak multiple languages but still hold and speak our national language aka Bahasa Indonesia. As mix Indonesian and Chinese myself, I speak Indonesian language (ofc), English and javanese (eastern dialects) fluently while also can understand a little Chinese. Fun fact about young Indonesian, Currently Japanese, Korean, and Thai are the most popular language that many Indonesian like to learn outside from English, and Chinese. I think Indonesia is one of the country that their population are like to learn many foreign languages for fun 😅
Ey mate. Thanks. Jakarta is such a busy city and they reserved a huge place for this monument 😍 you also can go to the top with an elevator for spectacular views 🙂 thanks for watching again
@@Chai_TravelActually the large square where the national monument is located has been in existence since the colonial time (19th century ) and at that time the square was called Koningsplein.
Indonesia is trilingual country, most Indonesians can speak at least 2-3 languages: 1st is local language as mother tongue, 2nd is bahasa indonesia as lingua franca to communicate with other people from different provinces in Indonesia and 3rd is optional language, it can be foreign language such English, or other local languages in Indonesia 😊. For example I am Javanese and I can speak Javanese (especially Ngapak Dialect, it's different with Javanese in Solo and Yogya), Bahasa Indonesia, little bit Bahasa Sunda, English and little bit french, I also can understand some Malay language such Palembang and Minangkabau 😅
Interesting imput by all the locals. Indonesia has ambitious plans to relocate its capital from Jakarta to Nusantara in East Kalimantan. The move, expected to take place by 2045, is part of Indonesian President Joko Widodo's plan to distribute economic activity throughout the country and reduce the capital's population and traffic congestion. Not sure that everybody is aware of that so, also, for information, Jakarta itself is home to about 10 million people and three times that number in the greater metropolitan area. It has been described as the world's most rapidly sinking city, and at the current rate, it is estimated that one-third of the city could be submerged by 2050. That is rather concerning for the country. Excellent work champ 🤩
That’s right Steven 😱 it’s very scary to think they’re maybe not able to safe a big part of the city. Hopefully they do all they can to delay this or find some kind of way to relocate the people who are struggling with flooding and all. I’m looking forward to show the new capital in the future. Thanks champ 🤗 have a beautiful day ;) happy Loy Krathong btw
yes happy Loi Kratong mate. Wayne did a live in Chiang Mai and I missed the chance to have a chat with him not knowing it was on. Disappointed with that 😀@@Chai_Travel

Indonesia is the largest Muslim population on earth. Indonesia has bhineka tunggal ika, it's mean unity in diversity. Most Indonesian are trilingual, we speak our local, bahasa Indonesia and some foreign language
Went on a little bingewatch of your Indonesia and Thailand Videos mostly (Will check the rest while at work haha) and it just feels crazy to see you recording in some of the places I have visited, and it just makes me want to go back as soon as possible to such a beautiful part of the world that is South East Asia!
