Line 7 is a relatively straight and short route from the Kronvalda Bulvāris stop on Ausekļa iela, passing through the city centre in a southeasterly direction towards the Railway Station and Central Market. From here it continues past the Latvian Science Academy through the Latgale district and ending at Eglaines Iela/Dole trading area in the Ķengarags suburb.
I board Tatra T6B5 35087 at Riga Central Market and travel to the final stop in Ķengarags. Along the route there is a temporary switch on the tracks where the line goes from single track to double track.
