Looks like the trams there go quite a way out of town. Reminds me of a 1994 trip to Solingen in Germany. There they ran 3 axle single deck MAN trolleybuses out into the sticks. At the terminus there was a turntable. Glad you didn't get killed by a passing tram or overhead wire pole. They looked very close. I liked the fast exit from the tram. 😊

@@SirAdamUK Yes I bought it from their site when it came out. It is classic OMD, but I love the album. I hope I'm still on form when I get to their age! One good album for voice overs is "Pacific Age". When I listen to that I think of my trip to Madrid when I was a student in 1990. 35 hours on a Go Ahead NE Tiger/Plaxton Expressliner from Leicester to Madrid, then touring around in it there. It was there I bought the LP "Architecture & Morality". Spanish "import". LOL
Excellent footage Adam, so much going on in just 5 minutes. A tram having a near miss with that Temsa. A random Zastava Yugo popping in too. What make was the trollybus? Karosa? The headlights looked like those on some Obradors bodied buses that used to operate near me in the Paris suburbs. Can't remember what chassis those had.
That was 5 minutes but it was like that most of the time. I didn't do well at capturing the horn honking very well thought. The trolleybuses are BKM - Belkommunmash, Belorussian. I had a ride on one and was catapulted to the back as they're very rapid.
@@SirAdamUK @SirAdamUK Good piece of video though. Rather reminded me of synchronised JCB's. 😂 Like the trolleybus there the newish Yutong E9's & E12's in Leicester are very torque heavy. Having to stand on the former wasn't fun at all. Thrown all over the place.
@@MegaBreadvan i imagine those traversing this roundabout would think it's anything other than synchronised 😂 I have to confess to not having been on a Yutong at all. Electric vehicles, except old trolleybuses, don't float my boat. I suspect you had no choice - were they on P&R work?
@@SirAdamUK The road markings would really confuse me... they can be interesting in France too, especially that priotité à droit rule. I didn't think that electric buses would be for me, either. But they have their own characters. The little E9's on the Hop! service and the stonkingly fast E12's (yes took those on the park & ride). When I was over at the end of September, I had hoped to take some photos of the brand new Street Kites, which I quite like the look of (again surprising that I do!) Unfortunately I could only make the Quorn meet on the Saturday, as I had to rest up on Friday & Sunday, after hurting my achillies tendon on the trip up from Paris - returned hobbling on the Monday morning. Still not quite right. Was hurting this morning on my 2km walk with Dolly.
Very atmospheric with all those tram noises. Recognised some Solaris Urbinos and Temsas? The night footage has come out really well. Worth getting some transport content during your visit.
There's such a mix of buses in Belgrade; Solaris, Merc, MAN, MAZ, LiAZ, Higer, Temsa. I'm quite pleased with the footage to say it was filmed on my phone, I love how rich the sounds are. I wish I had obtained more but I can't visit somewhere like Belgrade and miss out on other interesting sights and things to do.
@@SirAdamUK Had heard of LiAZ thanks to the Observer books I had when I was a kid. We have quite a few Temsa's here in France too. In the main, coaches. You seem to be getting around a bit, tha norz. Went back for a weekend visit to the UK end of September/beginning of October. Mainly for the Quorn bus event near Loughborough. Video on my channel. Next visit will be next April, renting the same place you visited us at back in 2019. Deposit paid so we're all set! Hope you'll have plenty of other interesting trips.
@@MegaBreadvan A few years ago I researched the Leyland National that went to Russia in the 70s. With the help of my friend Viktor in Moscow, I found out that it was used to assist in the design and development of the LiAZ 5256 bus. Aye, I haven't done too bad this year for travelling. As usual, I record lots of video but seldom have time to edit it all into something others might find interesting. I can't believe it was 2019 when we last met, it doesn't feel that long ago. The pandemic feels to have distorted perception of time, amongst other things. Do you have many plans for your visit next April?

I noticed the 5256 bus appears in the game City Car Driving, in the green & white livery I've seen them in before online. Now you've had me looking up Liaz and getting my observers books out. Nothing in concrete for the UK visit next April. Aside from seeing the friend who put me up on my recent visit (he came down to the SW of France with us too back in August). Would like to see how the Street Kites and Wright EV deckers are doing in Leicester. Yes it was a 4 year gap before we came back to the UK. Unbelieveable isn't it?
MK2 my favourite bus as a child though I always preferred the semi auto to the full auto as it allowed the drivers to have more sympathetic gear changes.
Good evening, if the spring switches (points) of the crossing loop of the upper section are not activated before each tram undertakes the return run, I really don't understand how the two trams don't end up on the track that doesn't correspond to the one on which it runs the cable to which the trams are connected. As long as the points are not turned over
I have to confess to not fully understanding how this system works. It does amaze me how the whole system operates and how they don't appear on the tracks.

Personally I think this system is too complicated: - it has moving parts - it needs too many human checks at each travel! <<As tram 6 approached the lower points in the uphill, facing direction, the tram attendant checked the position of the points. This consisted of looking both at the number ‘6’ sign mounted on the tumbler lever (presented to him when the points were set for tram 6) and at the actual position of the points. I came across an unusual Aussie Denning coach built in an AEC Reliance chassis a couple of years ago in Sydney. It had been converted to a motor home. They are usually built in Denning's own chassis using a rear mounted GM two stroke diesel with Rockwell axles. That only clue it was an AEC was faint AEC wheel badges!

There are still good numbers of Tatras in service though I couldn't give you an exact number. I didn't see any E91 so I suspect they've been withdrawn.
I've seen small Ikarus E91 occasionally in service on nightly routes. Most buses are brand new Solaris with many bells and whistles. A few Mercedes Citaro still run, but some have been donated to Ukraine. Mercedes Turkish have been scrapped. The city council seems to have a lot of excess money for buses.
@@SirAdamUK Well if the registration is anything to go by, AE is a Bristol number, along with HT, HU, HW and HY. I was still in the Bristol area in the early 80s, but I was living out in Yate, and I had a company car by then so I rarely used buses and my interest waned.
