I'm not surprised that some Koreans don't like Malaysian food because some Malaysians don't like Korean food.In my opinion,just a few days in Malaysia is not enough to enjoy Malaysian food.The food here is so diverse as each race or state may have a different version of the same food like laksa,rendang,etc.

Yeah I think that's a factor. I've seen several youtubers especially from japan and korea, who had their first taste of different malaysian food, commenting (this food) is easy on the palate, and they continued, commenting the food would likely be liked by their countrymen. I think the most popular japanese youtuber among malaysians, ichang and husband jimmy, have also made such remarks before. I didn't quite understand it hearing those comments, but now that you mentioned this point, I believe this is exactly what they were referring to
@cityliving-rainforestperson
I would say they probably haven’t explore beyond the usual Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes…
@blackmarble7265
@blackmarble7265 Год назад
It depends on how much they've discovered about Malaysia, if you're labeling it as heavy food then you probably had only eaten Malay or Indian cuisine, try Chinese food. I'm a Malaysian who dislike heavy food myself and Chinese food is always my first choice. I love wantan mee, Chinese fried rice, egg drop soup, steamed egg and more I can eat Indian and Malay cuisine as well but it's just not my jam, for example I hate nasi kandar
@jamesbookman5160
@jamesbookman5160 Год назад
@@blackmarble7265 "Heavy" is to westerners and not you. To you wantan mee is not heavy but it is loaded with strong flavors from dark soy sauce to pork lard. Even the Japanese in Malaysia find the local food too much. Of course Japanese has food with strong umami but they are not heavy on oil and flavors like Malaysian foods

I had previously heard a lot of complaints about the hygiene, particularly in Batu Cave. To be completely honest, despite the fact that I used to encourage my international friends to travel there whenever they visited Malaysia, despite being a Malaysian myself, I had never been there before. I hope that whoever is in charge of the area would pay attention to all the complaints, particularly those about the hygiene of the Batu Cave area. It is rather embarrassing for our visitors who travel great distances merely to view the repulsive aspect of it.

Hiya I've been there and lived nearby for a short just to visit Batu cave regularly for step walk everyday. The local Indian are nice always always kept the place clean even the top bit. Is the foreign worker from Indian, Indonesia, and etc they come to Malaysia to work. Its always been like this since before 2000 as far as I know. The gov Malaysia need to implement like a leaflet or book to foreign worker that when they come here to Malaysia for work they need to keep the place clean. Someone must really act soon lol. I also lived in Kl Bukit Bintang area for a short time back in 2000, back of building where the rubbish bin are, they just chuck the rubbish from the top of building I've seen it myself. I was disappointed why Malaysia gov didn't set some kind of rule to foreign worker who lives and work in KL area. Gutted... 😔
@noordinbeldenlex1620
@noordinbeldenlex1620 Год назад
@@ukchub6633 - It's true what you mentioned without a doubt. Most Malaysians are conscious of the importance of cleanliness. Regrettably, Malaysia employs a large number of foreign workers who are unable to keep our country clean. They continue to be enslaved by their old habits and lack environmental stewardship. In fact, some of them opt to be beggars because they are aware of Malaysians' charitable nature. When visitors cannot tell locals from foreign workers, they are to blame for damaging the reputation of our country. As long as they do not face harsh punishment from the authorities and as long as situations like these are challenging to handle effectively.

Malaysia is underrated country & always labelled as third world country. So, Malaysians are very curious to listen to any opinions from outsiders especially from big countries nation. I’m personally very curious about travellers responses when it comes to “How your experience in this city compared other cities you’ve visited?” More elaborated answers is more satisfying.

Hopefully the people in those places as well as the relevant authorities would take note and act immediately to rectify the situations. About not liking the food, that is a very subjective issue and we cannot be surprised too much by it. For example someone may not like chilli and hot food, which is everywhere in malaysia, just like many people do not like durians, which are also everywhere in malaysia hahah! Again, good job! @@Chai_Travel... The mosque is behind that building. It is famous known as Masjid Jamek KL or KL Jamek Mosque. Jamek is actually Arab word for main or central. In 19 century, it is the main mosque in KL, especially for government officers. The is the actual place where Kuala Lumpur get the name, Muddy River-mouth. Its where Gombak River and Klang River meet and it is muddy...

The late 19th century building you are referring to and filming at is called Sultan Abdul Samad, used to be the magistrate court building, whilst Masjid Jamek mosque is located just behind it, opposite and across the river. There is a bridge next to SAS to get to Masjid Jamek. Stay safe and Enjoy your stay !

I never expect for any Korean or Japanese to be liking our food so much I mean look at their food and ours. Its like water and flame, but each are unique and worth trying at least for experience. Heck I even once read about an Indonesian not liking our food bcoz they are just too curry-ly (???) But in a way I can understand it. And yeah...go travel! Other countries' food in your country is rarely gonna be the same as in the original place where they come from.
