Hi I'm in Turkey now and planing to apply for residency but my passport validation is less than 1 year and we don't have Embassy here to renew the passport. Could you give me a piece of advice in this case?
@@jeniferkhin4914 if the ikamet website lets you do it, maybe you can try. If not, I’m afraid you will have to try to get a new passport somehow. Or apply for how ever many months you have left on your passport ( however, I don’t think it’s worth applying for less than 1 year )
As long as you file before your visa expires, you're good and valid until your appt. Although, I never had to go in for an appointment. Reminds me, I need to renew mine as it expires next month.
I have a question. Firstly, allow me to thank you for this video. It has been the most detailed, informative, and helpful video I have found on this matter. Onto my question: I am currently in Turkey as a tourist with a 90-day visa and applying for my ikamet. Now that I am in the stages of touring apartments, I am worried because I don’t know what should be my move-in and move-out dates my apartment. Do I have to lease my apartment for the exact dates of my ikamet validity? I ask this because I don’t know when my ikamet appointment will be, so what if I sign an apartment lease tomorrow with the move-in date being next month, but I don’t get my ikamet appointment until TWO months from now? (i.e. what if my apartment rental officially begins BEFORE my ikamet appointment?)
When you get your lease put that as the date of when you want your ikamet to start. On the application form online you can write when you want your ikamet to start
Thanks a lot bruv. This videos been really helpful. If I already have health insurance. I live in the UK and my health insurance is one that is global would that be ok or do we HAVE to get Health insurance FROM Turkey? Thanks in advance :)
Thanks for watching mate. I think you need to have health insurance from Turkey. I will be making an updated video on Ikamet soon, it seems a lot of people are getting rejected for first time application these days and even accepted applications are only getting 6 months.
Now what do you do if your outside of Turkey and your ikamet expires, re enter on tourist visa? When you renew your permit do you need to apply based on a first time application?
Selamet, thank you for this information. Would it be possible tp enter Turkey as a tourist and aüply for an Ikamet while in Turkey ? Is it possible to obtain an Ilamet for a period less than a year ? For instance 8 months ? Thanks
I have a question, after you do all of these things, and you get accepted, do you have to take another appointment to collect your ikamet? Or how does that work?
Thanks a lot for that information, but if I want to prove that I have enough funds do I have to have a bank account in turkey.is this the only way to prove you have enough funds.
Okay so I am trying to renew my Turkish IKAMET for the passed 3 months but the online system is NOT working I tried using the Turkish version as well I'm from New Zealand
Can I apply for Residence Permit (Ikamet) for just 4 months ? I have passport validity left for 6 months. FYI , I got e-Visa for a month. Now I am in Turkey and month is almost gone. I wish to stay in Turkey for 4 more months at the most. Please advice, Thanks.
It will, but you will need to book it for 1 year at least, if you want the 1 year residence permit. Don’t forget you probably have 3 months visa also, so it will be a year and 3 months unless you apply for the permit straight away.
@@IstanbulHacks Actually, I think the family visa is for those who have family members that are from Turkey. I have notarized permission from my daughter's mother for her to be with me. I guess we'll do it individually. Thanks
Guys I applied for my residence permit. I'm an international student and got my appointment. Its been a month now and I'm worried that I'm running out of time since my Visa has only 20 days to expire. So am I just overreacting or in real trouble?
