God this touched me so deeply. I feel like we're living in two different shades of the same color. I lost my mom in March after a whole lifetime of her being sick. This is my first holiday season without her, and it *is* hard. I feel isolated from friends, too, and to be honest I've lost a lot of them. This video brought me a lot of comfort. I've been watching nature documentaries too, and giving myself movies to watch. Thank you for the song recs (I'm glad to know another person loves lexie liu's manta too hehehe), and thank you for sharing such an honest and touching video. It's hard to be open about the hard parts of healing, but your videos inspire me to be gentle with myself. thank you ❤
anabelle crying at the nature doc was the same energy as me crying while people watching from my car cannot explain it well but life is beautiful yet stupid sometimes too and everyone goes through so much under the surface

I really appreciate you sharing your story and how you feel. It makes me feel not so along with my emotions and the things I'm going through. I really need to learn to slow down sometimes and just feel, and you reminded me of that. this christmas for me... is a weird one too. i was forced to move from my city home last winter... and i ended up back in my home town. this little tiny island, and a tiny town. so... all the memories, feels like triggers. and it feels so dead here compared to all the fluff of the capital. i miss my city so much. i've been noticing i've been watching a lot of vlogs from people living in big cities, to get that feel. my dad - who is 85 with dementia, lives in the city too. and i miss him so much. whenever we talk on the phone, he ask the same questions again and again, and i always die a little inside when we hang up. my dad disappearing while he is still here. and i can't see him as much as i want. my sister has left me. she has never really loved me the same, and i always felt like a sweater, you can put on or leave under the bed, whenever you *feel* like it. last month, i thought she finally returned to me to stay, but alas... she found a reason again, to exit. this time , i won't let her back in. cause i can't keep putting myself back together. *SO* *This DECEMBER* I have decided to just cry and eat healthy and not feel like sh!t anymore. and then in 2023 i hopefully WILL find a way back to my city and see my dad, before he forgets me completely.. just really needed to share all this i guess💕 i will be reading other people's comments too. I think people who watch annabelle, are so sweet and caring people💕
I’ve been consistently watching you since your art school portfolio days while you were still in high school. It’s been nice to grow older while also watching you grow. Over the past 6 years I’ve watched you, you’ve helped motivate me and helped me to understand that even struggling mentally is okay. That struggles eventually pass and open a passage to something warmer and exciting. You’ve helped me navigate through adolescence into adulthood while watching your videos and I’m happy to still be on this growth journey while also watching you grow :)

hi annabelle and anyone else who's a fan/interested in kaho nakamura! if you haven't seen it, there's a video of her singing そのいのち live and its beautiful and makes me emotional the title of the video is 中村佳穂 ライブ "SING US" 忘れっぽい天使 / そのいのち" and it's on her youtube channel! she sings two songs and そのいのち is the second one starting around 4:45. there's something about the way she conveys the song live with all the people in the room that are listening/vibing/singing/playing along with her that gives me a sense of pure joy for sharing music and aaaaaa i love music!!!! that is all, i hope everyone has a great day!!
I loved The Menu (2022) it really surprised me and you get really drawn into the story. Not what I would have recommended to boost your mood that night, but a really good movie.

Hey Annabelle! The holidays are one of the hardest times of the year for me. One thing I like to do is start a small project to keep my mind and hands busy. For example ROLIFE and other companies have miniature little houses you can construct and paint. There is a huge variety of different small structures you can build! Otherwise, I wouldn't be feeling well the whole month of December. So maybe that could help you too :)

The holidays can be rough for many reasons, but so so nice at the same time. Take your time with the vlogs! Also my favorite songs of this year would be Season 2 by Phoenix, Everybody's Cool by Two Door Cinema Club, faraway by The Japanese House, and Bang Bang by Hippo Campus. So hard choosing lol
I saw The Menu right after thanksgiving and I also thought it was very entertaining!! I really loved the cinematography and the segments where they showed each of the courses felt realistic to how fancy cooking channels on RU-vid/food shows on Netflix show off the food they make which gave the film another layer to me. I feel like the end result really showed how we are all complicit in the system, even those of us who are the givers. We are a society about self preservation (whatever that means to us) and the ends we will go to in order to maintain our being. Though Margo seemed to be the odd one out, in the end we still see her as complicit in the system. Also my favorite songs of the year were Too Hot You're Hurting My Feelings by Caroline Polachek, Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan, and All I Ever Asked by Rachel Chinouriri!

Wow, because she’s experiencing negative emotion openly? she’s someone who’s open about her struggles. Just because she shows it doesn’t mean it’s depression. Also, she probably does do therapy, she’s even mentioned it. Whether she does or doesn’t though isn’t your personal business. Thirdly, therapy isn’t a cure all anyways and doesn’t mean she’ll not experience negative emotion. Experiencing negative emotions is good. This is why more people should be open with their struggles though so it teaches people like you what others go through, and if you go through a patch in your life where you go through it that you’re not alone either. What you view as depression, I view as healthy ways of coping with negative treatment and experiences and the negative emotions that result from that, and also grief on top of that. And maybe you should think about the comments you leave on people’s videos.
@@mademoiselle7906 alright so if you didn’t understand my comment we’ll try a different perspective. Fine, if you are really that concerned- how would you tell a friend that information? There’s a real human there behind there and you should phrase comments like you’re speaking to a person.
