Hey Everyone! On my Sunday Vlog I'll be doing drone footage at some local car dealerships that I work with. My goal of this video is to show you a few tips & tricks on filming with your drone at Car Stores. Its pretty easy to film with your drone and get good video footage when your flying HIGH over trees, water etc. When your having to film a Business theres many things to take into consideration like the Sun, Shadows and what angles to shoot.
As always I enjoy reading your feedback and opinions as well.

Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.
FYI - Charleston Car Videos on RU-vid Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000's of vehicles have sold from people using my car videos to sell cars at dealerships all over the South East Region.
I'm Chad Dolbier the creator of CCV. After High School I was unsure of what to do for a career as many young adults are. Instead of going to college I decided to start working in the car business in 2000. My first car job was at Acura of Charleston being a car detailer/washer. In 2003 our Acura store started to clear land next door and built Audi of Charleston. After a few years passing and still detailing Acura's & Audi's in 2005 I was asked to be a car salesman. In 2006 I started the Internet Department for Acura & Audi. Then in 2008 is when the car videos all started up! 2010 is when I left Acura & Audi and started my own car dealership video business. So far today I've built RU-vid channel for over 18 car brands & dealerships. So enjoy my channel and hopefully you can learn something new! As always I enjoy learning from you as well so make sure to send me your feedback!

The most important thing you should have mentioned to people is that if you are using your drone for commercial use such as this, that you need to have your PART 107 license and just as important BE INSURED! you smack a car with no license or insurance you you had better get another job to pay the fines and a good lawyer cause jail time is an option. It cost 150.00 to get your license a week of study maybe 2 and a 60 question test.

And people like u seem to know it all lol. They will not put him in jail for hitting a car only if there was serous bodily injury and he didn't take care if it. Yes probably big fines. But if u knew how many people.make money with drones with no lic u would probably get ur Karen card that day. Lmao

If you own a DJI then putting it in Tripod mode will allow you to film dolly and slider style footage both in and around the dealership. If you’re not familiar with this mode it slows the drone down to 2mph max.

damn that sounds pretty cool man. thanks for the tip. I don't have the drone anymore, but I really want to get another one. Which drone do you think is best right now for a person wanting to add some quality aerial shots to videos without breaking the bank? thanks Chad

CharlestonCarVideos I know there’s other drones around that people could argue are better value much like the Apple vs Samsung debate, but DJI are perceived the be the leaders of recreational drones that can also be used in a commercial manner. Most drones now have HD or 4K and 2 or 3 axis gimbals but what sets them apart is the software and ease of use. If money isn’t an issue that you’ll recoup from a commercial job then the Mavic Zoom is amazing. If you’re budget is a little less but don’t want to compromise then Mavic Air is a solid drone. I owe a spark, Air, and Zoom and film Dealerships using the Air mainly. The preset quickshots make creating b-roll super easy and the sensors on the drone help avoid hitting the cars in the lot. Air has front back and bottom so does Mavic. I also film inside the dealership thanks to the sensors and get better footage than using a slider and dslr. I hope this helps. Mavic Zoom and Air are my choices but I’m sure someone will also chip in their opinion in the comments.

Also if you are being paid for this you should be using ND filters... this is the perfect time of day to shoot this!!! A lot of these shots should be slowed down. You cant use shadow as an excuse... you can turn your drone any which way you would like... this sun light is perfect... as you learn ND filters and how to shoot a bit better you will get the hang of it. I'm not by any means knocking you, just dont think you're ready to teach. This is an old account of mine but I've got so much real estate videos and automotive videos I will be uploading.

I would advise your viewers to be watchful of drone (and people/around 4:40) reflections in windows as well as drone shadows when the sun is at your back.

No worries. I did like your approach segment when you 'entered' the dealership space. Keep up the good work and make millions!
