Ron is right. Somehow the sound for the video you reviewed is distorted and sounds pretty bad. For anyone who has never seen this video go watch the original. It is much better than this. As for questions about the members, this was their very first performance which consisted of Darwin, Maggie, Tim, Sammie, and Scott (in the order they appear on stage from left to right). In later live shows you will see Toby instead of Darwin and Chase instead of Maggie as well as Johnny on drums. When they started recording in Tim's basement they all in most of the videos making 8 total consistent band members. However, they are occasionally joined by others and after Scott's passing they have 2 regular bass players who take turns filling in on bass. You mentioned you thought the original band would like this. At the very least, Graham Nash did. He wrote Tim an email praising it. Tim met him in person later and Graham apparently recognized Tim on sight.

Guys, Thank you for doing this reaction so quickly. Crosby, Stills and Nash were famous in the 1970s mostly, And this was a song they were most well known for, possibly one of their biggest hits. They were basically a folk rock band with great instrumentals in the form of acoustic guitar and harmonies that were memorable and their signature. Foxes and fossils started about 13 years ago and this was their very first public appearance and song! The lead singer started it with his daughter who was the young girl to your far right. The dad's friend was the older guy playing guitar and the daughter's friend was the other 15-year-old girl. They have been together as a band all this time although life got in the way, especially for the young girls who went to school and I think one got married. They live in different areas so during the pandemic recorded quite a few songs remotely. They did quite a number of public appearances up till about 6 years ago and then recently, in December, did a reunion concert in person in Atlanta which was the first time they had played in public in 6 years. Approximately 25 songs and two performances. I think they are a phenomenal band and their harmonies are also exquisite. I'm glad you picked up on the name of the band and the reason! The RU-vid channel has dozens of performances, some studio remote and others live. They range from 1960s and forward, with quite a few from the '70s. The song you listened to today is a very difficult song to cover because it is so complex, but as Philly said they did a fantastic job with it, and some considerate to be one of the best covers of that song they've heard. I may request another more current tune from them. By the way, unfortunately the sound of the band in your video was distorted for some reason. Not sure if you heard it on your end.

I've listened to this group one time before. Their website says 8 members so not sure if this is a different time. The original 3 ladies were all 15 yr old when they joined. They have a good sound.
