Today at Ugly Truck, we ain't gonna take it... anymore! 🎸 This 1987 K5 Blazer is back from the body shop for a quick engine removal so we can finally find out why there is combustion in the cooling system. If you missed it (playlist link below!) this engine was supposed to be a fresh SBC 350 long block, but a quick teardown says otherwise! Just like the rest of this Blazer, none of the cylinder head bolts were tight, allowing the heads to lift up and combustion gases to pump into and pressurize the cooling system. Let this be a lesson for you: TORQUE SPECS ARE IMPORTANT! The good news is that this squarebody is getting a 6.0 LS swap and a 4L60E, so this basket case 350 can finally be put to rest. Hit the SUBSCRIBE button and stick around for the LS swap!
