why is mi goreng like the best meal EVERRRR. your thoughts on the publishing industry and publishing pressure are always so resonant... feeling like you have to "prove" something to a phantom audience in your head. i am constantly terrified of public failure but at the same time i know i don't owe anyone but myself when it comes to my writing !!! i think a lot of my insecurities about my writing went away last year as i began to fully understand how much the industry is soooo out of a writer's control, even if you write the best book ever. i loved this vlog as always and i am dying to know more about FOOD TRUCK ROMCOM WIP AHHHHH 🥰

There's an offline option if you want to try that, so you can open the doc without internet and it will be synced once you get back online :) For me, it's sooo difficult to write while you're traveling, so I'm REALLY IMPRESSED at your productivity. :DDD you''re doing FANTASTIC 😊 I can totally relate to what you said about traveling. I used to love solo traveling and backpacking so much, but now that I have cats and perhaps a routine, I find that I miss home sooo much. I feel your earnestness about your feelings on MOTHS but I think you're TOTALLY on the right track. I'm glad that there are more writers out there who acknowledge that publishing is not the end-all be-all. It's possible to write and be successful at writing without having a novel published 💕

Good luck to you with grad school applications (and I hope your travel day was as stress-free as possible)! You are so right about that freedom that comes once you hit the age you said 'I have to be published by...' like oop didn't happen and the world didn't end over it lol so it's okay (and what was the point of that arbitrary marker anyway?). I want to be better about making sure I'm enjoying life more outside of writing so I applaud you and hope to do some trying to write while traveling eventually. I hope you continue to have the absolute time of your life!

your travels look so fun! I think the reason you got sunburned is because you're in/very close to the southern hemisphere in Bali. We have way more water than land compared to the northern hemisphere and also a fun hole in the ozone layer. (Im Aussie, lived here all my life, and burn to a crisp in minutes when the UV is high here. I went to Vietnam and barely got pink the whole time!! It's crazy how much of a difference it makes.) I went to Vietnam with my boyfriend but we met tons of solo travellers and they were having such cool adventures and self-growth, you'll love it :)

Oh my lord you write in just a plain docs or word program 💀? I could never, scrivener just gives me the writing vibes even tho it adds nothing to my workflow 😅
4:25 Small hint if this is the case and you cant find the reason for it - just connect an USB cable between your phone and your laptop and choose "USB Tethering" in your settings. Then your laptop uses the same as your smartphone does. Hope that helps. By thhe way, do you stay in Bali quite permanently? Or do you plan to live somewhere else in this region for a extended period of time? I also travel around a bit and would love to write with you if we are at one point in the same place :) I chosen the Philippines because I can extend up to three years without any visa runs, but still travel somewhere else from time to time.
