This is part one of a three part series in creating a junk journal out of a Little Golden Book. The book that I am using is "The Bunny Book" by Richard Scarry. Today I'll be selecting papers and putting together pages. I didn't cut a lot out because Leo was very talkative today. I hope you like it and thank you for watching!

Fabulous , I was wondering how people used a skinny little spinlike that and made a junk journal or a journal. Leo was such a good boy, just chattering in the background. Just love hearing him. Can't wait for part 2 of this make. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have quite a few Little Golden books waiting to be made into journals. Thanks for showing us how to remove the gold spine without damaging it. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

If you set the punch on the table and line up the pattern in silver, it punches great and the paper won’t get stuck. It will fall out under the punch. Just a suggestion. I want to do one of these golden books. Adding the edge, is a great idea and it’s pretty!

I was going to say the same as Sue re the punch, that is why it has the extended flaps on the side, so you can line up the image perfectly. I use washi tape on the edges of my pages to disguise the gap! I love your idea of using images of your lace to fill that gap too! Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see the next instalment ❤

I have used to images on the front to line up the punches, but for some reason the upside down method works much better for me... 🙃

I’ve seen the golden books where they cut them down. I really like your idea better. I haven’t made one yet but have several I’d like to make into journals. Thanks for the great idea!

Love it! I have a golden book, but it's The Fire Fighters Counting Book. I don't think lace would work! LOL! Have to get my thinking cap on! Thank you, can't wait for part 2!
