Thankyou Mike. This was an outstanding look at the basic Ford F150 work truck. I think a lot more folks are interested than many dealers think. This new truck is affordable. Excellent review!

I got my 2017 regular cab for $22,500. And it wasn’t completely base like this truck. Has power windows, chrome package, little better wheels, cruise control, the 4” display by the instrument cluster, fog lights, cloth seats, and it’s the 2.7 eco boost. I’d imagine with all those features taken off that they can’t be charging more than $20,000 for the truck. I can’t lie, at first when I looked at my truck it looked awkward since I’m used to F150s looking like huge ass tanks on the road, but now that I’m used to it I love it.

Armando Sturzenegger I made a couple review videos on my channel if you want to check it out. Not the best stuff but it’s something 😂😂 I love how quick the eco boost is, the gas mileage is a bit low, it that’s because I do a lot of time idling. - and I’ve had 0 issues whatsoever with the truck. There are a couple of recalls I need to address, but that’s it

Just got 2019 F-150 same truck mine has 8 foot bed. Great truck! Dealers need to push this kind of truck,not everyone wants a big payment. Mine is white also,looks great. FORD TOUGH

Great video. The reason why they put hooks on the roof behind the seats is because that's really the only place you can hang something. Better than not having them, right? Also, block the back glass is not a big issue (definitely not illegal because panel/cube vans etc).

I like the base model trucks, i'm considering a xl crew cab 4x4 with the 5.5 ft bed. id prefer to have it equipped with the 5.0 v8 though.

Kelby Sagvold get the SuperCab, you get a longer bed and still have more than enough space to transport 6 people.

ya the supercab or regular cab XL only comes with a v6, but you really don't need the v8 if you don't tow for a living. the v6 has plenty of power for what you need. but if you do want the v8, it only comes as an ext cab or supercab. but your wrong about the bed size on the ext cab, supercabs only comes as a 6ft6 bed. the regular cab has the 8ft bed, and that's the way i would get it.

Would you recommend the base model regular cab as a first truck? I dont k ow if I should get a 2011 ranger or just go for a simple pick up. I would use it to carry my instruments to and from school

They work the same because ice and snow melts by the time the shutters activate. These trucks are designed and tested in Michigan, so they know a few things about ice and snow.

I would want power windows with that center armrest. I would clutter that armrest with all sorts of gear and whatnot. To reach over that to crank that right side window down would be impossible.

no it wouldn't, you could easily reach the crank. im 5ft11 and i can reach, and this is just work truck. so you don't power windows on a base truck, leave it the way it is. if you want power windows, you can get the stx which is similar to the XL, but it's an ext cab and it has power windows. the XLT comes as an ext cab or crew cab, and it comes standard with a 5.0L v8. and i think there's an option on the XLT for the 2.7L v6 turbo. it's not the ecoboost like the 3.5L is, but it still gets the job done.

Truck desination shipping cost is no longer $400. $1350! I have a feeling it's to pay employee health insurance! Cost should be the expense of Car builder.

It's about Goddamn time someone posts a video of a 2015 single cab F150 on RU-vid. I have not seen a 2015 F150 single cab in person, on RU-vid, or Google Images. Wtf!! The truck has been out for more than half a year now. When the new Silverado and Ram came out, people immediately posted videos and photos of the single cab variants online. I'm upset by this sad truth.

+jy02250883 That average is based on a new truck that hasn't left the parking lot. Once the vehicle is driven on the road it will give you the average mpg based on how the truck is used.
