I love the Grand Cherokee. I've known for some people to buy jeeps without 4WD I couldn't get a jeep without 4WD myself. In my opinion buying a jeep new/used without 4WD is like eating Macaroni without cheese or anything else on it.

I'm so glad they changed the headlights and front grill design! 2014-16 headlights looked absolutely horrible, except for the 75th anniversaries. So happy to see that redesigned for 2017.

We just bought a 2017 Grand Cherokee Overland with so many options....it was really expensive but worth it....we have an old 1999 Grand Cherokee Limited with 210,000 miles and still going strong.

Honestly to me this is the best video you have ever done, i really liked the intro music i do not know why you don't put intro music on your other videos because its just very great

The only thing missing is the factory installed video screens on the backs of the headrests for back passengers. Also, no hemi. Our new 2016 limited came with both. All in all, aside from the airbags, the limited can be trimmed out to exceed the specs of the overland. As ours is. Still, to me, personally, this is just one hell of a vehicle. Jeep just nails it dead on every year with the vehicle. One month into ownership, I can already to tell you all I will buy another one when the time come to trade up...can not say enough good stuff. If you are looking, and on the fence about which one, you can not go wrong with this vehicle. My wife drives it, and loves it. Have a great day..

Hi Mike. Few years ago I initially thought I commented on this video, but it turns out that I didn't after checking through the comments. I probably commented on another Jeep Grand Cherokee video you did and assumed it was this video. You did a great job with an in depth review for this 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Overland trim level. A nice job demonstrating how to get access menu screen features. I like introduction music as well. Good music to use when making a presentation of a good vehicle or other things that's of high quality. This trim level would be the one to get if someone doesn't want to spend a lot of money for the higher trims. Also the trim level to get if they want more than what the Laredo and Limited trims are offering. So, the Overland trim sits right in the middle which is good. If I were in the position to get a current generation Jeep Grand Cherokee I would get the Overland trim level equipped with the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine along with the Harman Kardon audio system. I have intentions on getting the upcoming new generation 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. It'll be released this coming year in 2021 as the 2022 model year. In a more recent video review of a Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicle you did either for 2019 or this year 2020 I'll give more detailed info on what's going to be available for the upcoming new generation 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I still don’t know how to let car parallel park automatically. You should have been my sales representative. Did put the rear seats down yesterday after watching your video. That I also didn’t know until your video. Obviously, the salesman may have talked a lot, but didn’t show me a thing accept how to start it and drive it off the lot. I did just recently put a new battery in my key fob soon after it said battery low. I decided I will watch your video again :)

Wow, I have a 2013 Overland V8 and there have not been much changes at all. I would think 4 years later they'd update more than just the radio and dash gauges. Pretty weak. I've seen that the Trailhawk is cheaper and comes with rock rails. Much better buy. I love my Overland though.. would definitely buy again and again. Very well built. I recommend getting one without that Adaptive Cruise control because that sensor can and does go out of alignment and will be a bitch to get the dealer to fix.

Hey Mike, I see that they finally added a park assist to the GC for 2017 but do you know if there is a 360 surround view monitor system coming in the near future as well? When is the arrival of the 2017 High Altitude version expected to hit the showrooms?

I have a 2012 JGC Overland V-8. In 2014 they discontinued the rear glass being able to open independently from the tailgate. Why??? It's such a functional feature for hauling long items or quickly retrieving items from the trunk. Aside from the dash, shifter and a few exterior facelifts it's essentially the same from the original redesign. It's a highly successful vehicle, so it makes sense not to change what works. I would imagine a redesign is in the works soon though.

You hit every aspect of this Overland, except for the fog light function. Well done! I love this color combo, even if that tri coat is almost 600 bucks. I plan on ordering one Monday in fact, but with the Hemi. I plan on aftermarket exhaust. Looks like I'll have to lease, as this cost a pretty penny. I presently have an 11 Laredo 4x4 which has been absolutely flawless with 64k on the clock. Giving it to the wife unit as she loves it as much as I do.

Have a 2014 Overland....absolutely love it!!! Question regarding 2017....if the engine turns off at stops then, does the A/C-Heater blower also turn off?
