Yeah.. the driver will be used to how fast the car is within a couple months and then wonder why the interior looks like a 1999 Dodge Neon the entire time they own it!
@@kevina2052 Sat in one last night. The materials aren't best in class by far, but the build quality is solid and the controls and switch gear have a great feel to the touch. No one could ever say the same about the Neon.
Base Veloster N owner of 8500 miles. Also test drove the Performance Pack cars. The Base is great. I haven't been to the track yet, where the Performance Pack would make more of a difference. So I'm a happy camper so far.
Yea, this is the 1st non performance Veloster I have seen reviewed. Nice job, I like the 18” wheels. The 19’s will chrispn up the handling but I like the look of those rims. Although if I was to buy one I’d get the one with the performance pack upgrade and put some aftermarket 18’s. For the winter driving.
People say the the interior is cheap, and maybe that might be true if you are coming from Audi or Mercedes or something like that. But I think the interior is nice. I traded my 2006 350z for a new N with performance package and I'm happy!
Mike if you think this car is quick, you need to drive the one with the performance pack 275 horsepower. Hey I noticed that the end of the hood prop is yellow and matches your little yellow hand, cool. Anyone interested in a Veloster n do not get the base model this car is the base model get the one with the performance pack it only cost $2,100 more and it gives you a lot of features.
Fun fact - they actually have to make 2 sets of the front doors, both for LHD, and RHD models.. The two front doors are actually different lengths, and they can't just swap them for different markets. They have to make 2 different drivers doors and 2 different passengers doors. A lot of steel being used for this car.
Love this review. Honestly the best in my opinion. Very in depth review of this vehicle showcasing everything inside. All the explanations are great. Thank you.
Unfortunately that vehicle don’t have performance package. It means there is no e-LSD! The e-LSD is most important key part of N car. If someone gonna buy a Veloster N, never skip the performance option.
They aren't really all that similar cars. You can get this car in base trim with a similar output 2 liter engine, non turbo. Also, are you talking about the 2020 Corolla sedan? The 2019 Corolla hatchback is more comparable.
Something I would like to see on your reviews is you showing the exterior with the headlights and hazards. Saabklye04 does that and I like that but I don’t like him because he talks to much and is annoying. You are not Annoying Mike! You give good info
A 2011-14 Hyundai Sonata and 2011-2015 Kia app with the 2.0T has more horsepower and torque and might beat the Veloster but it will handle much better on the track
That's exactly what I thought. You spend way more time inside of your car.. just as important if not more so to have a nice interior. They obviously cut corners on the interior. I hope in future versions they upgrade the materials..
@@kevina2052 You don't even notice the interior you have so much fun in it. It's plain, it lacks some amenities that are standard on other cars, and it becomes completely unimportant to me as soon as my oil reaches operating temp lol
@@npaul4171 to each their own. In my opinion, you don't get what you pay for with this car. Even with the same materials they could have designed something that was less 1990s Hyundai and more 2010s.. literally every other car in it's class has a better interior at a comparable price..
@@2010ngojo You're comparing it to a Ford, literally the only car brand I can think of that's worse for interior design. So bad in fact, they discontinued every car except for the iconic mustang.. Back to my original point. It's not just material "quality" that bothered me. It's the lack of aesthetic design. They could have at least tried.
