Madeline Soto was abused by mom’s boyfriend Stephan Stern for years, documents say. New documents released reveal additional details about what led to Stephan Sterns' arrest. Sterns was arrested last week on battery charges along with possession of child material. He's also a suspect in the death of missing 13-year-old Madeline Soto, but the investigation into her death is ongoing. Sterns has not been charged in Soto's death, and Kissimmee police are still conducting a thorough investigation into what happened to the teen. Investigators said Sterns is the boyfriend of Soto's mother. According to documents, Sterns was abusing Madeline for nearly two years.

Years ago my nephew wandered away from his mother within seconds shopping in Costco. When she couldn’t see him, she called out for him. When she got no response, she ran to the front in a panic. They locked the store down, got a description, had a team at the store cameras and organized a search of the store. They found him very quickly two aisles over but his mother was so upset, my brother had to go and pick them up such was her intensity of emotion, she was too impaired to drive. These two could care less. Poor Madeline😞

No child should have to face a world where the two primary adult “caretakers” in their life are BOTH a couple of self-absorbed, unfeeling psychopaths who are actively working to expose their child to persistent, severe S-abuse to satisfy their own evil, sick, perverted “needs” and “desires”. Ain’t no child on this planet will be able to successfully cope with living under the constant state of fear of the anticipating of the abuse, which is almost just as bad as the abuse itself. May Maddie RIP👏🏼.

I had my full address memorized by the 2nd grade. Decades later I can still recite it. I knew my way home and could walk miles away and back. She is a liar. No innocent mother needs to lie about these things, saying she saw her the morning of, stumbles on her words about her saying goodnight to her, they would just want every bit of truth out there to bring their child home. Only a guilty person would lie to cover up things. She knew Madeline wasn’t coming home and I believe she fought with her the night of her birthday and strangled her, she was able to get him to move the body the next morning as she clearly is more dominant in their interactions. Because of the sex abuse, it all seems to obviously point to him as the killer, but he didn’t want Madeleine dead. Now he lost his sex partner who he likely loved, that’s why he cries during interviews, talks of them being so “close” and he is the protector of her from her Mom, disgusting but that is all in his sick mind. I believe Jenn is also sick and twisted mother that knew all along of the abuse and became seething with jealousy, especially after Madeleine became a teenager, she was becoming even more competition. Hopefully he realizes he’s never lying his way out of this and spills the whole truth, exposing Jenn and taking them both down. Hopefully to hell where they both belong.

We lost our son Zack to brain cancer, December 27, 2003 at the age of almost 21. He fought bravely and with faith for 3 1/2 years. I know he's safe in heaven. It still took years before I could reliably talk about him without crying or at least being sad. One time, my daughter didn't come straight home from school on the last day of 4th grade. I was a total wreck, calling everyone until I found her at a friend's house. My heart was in my throat the whole time and I truly didn't breathe deeply until I knew she was safe. My "baby" girl is now 32 and I still worry about her. This woman seems to be very cold and heartless and not believable to me.

She behaves like the killer. I think in the end we will see this story take an unexpected twist. Mother was well aware of the sex abuse, she became seething with twisted jealousy and fought with Madeleine often. The night of her birthday, becoming a teen now, they fought again and she strangled Madeleine to death. She was able to control the bf into moving the body the next day, she has the dominance and power in that relationship, it’s very clear. Because of the sex abuse it all seems to point to him as the killer. But he is the one who cries, talks of her being a wonderful girl, that they were close, he was her protector from the mother, all in his sick mind, but he didn’t want Madeleine dead, he was infatuated with abusing her and loved her. He will eventually expose Jenn, once he realizes he is going down for good, likely on the death penalty.

There is absolutely no way she wasn’t aware of the abuse with how frequent it was. I believe she became sick and twisted with jealousy against Madeline, which is why she despised her and wanted to disown her. She fought with her often and on the night of her birthday it got out of control. She strangled Madeleine and had him move the body the next morning. I believe they are both guilty of the murder and Mom permitted the sex abuse. Once he realizes he isn’t getting out of this, hopefully he will spill everything and expose Jenn.

When she was telling the cops about her daughter missing, she interrupted the boyfriend and said that Maddie was wearing black shorts on her way to school. But she knew damn well Maddie wasn’t wearing those shorts because Maddie was already dead before school time and we all know that now. She definitely has something to do with it.

I thought she never saw Maddy that morning. So my thought was how did JS know what she was wearing? Unless SS had told her. We sadly drove home, barely slept all night, drove back up to my friend's house by 8:45 am with posters and flyers, and drove up and down those streets until 2:30 in the afternoon, when we finally found him!!!! My child went missing for a few days and I was a nutcase. I couldn't sleep, think, eat or make sense when talking. The local news came to do an interview with us and I couldn't speak without breaking down. I was panicked and felt like I couldn't breathe the entire time she was gone and it definitely showed- so much so that many people, cops included, kept trying to convince me to go to the ER. Thank God, a good samaritan saw her and called the cops and we were reunited at the hospital, but what I see in this interview is NOTHING like what I experienced.

When teachers notified my mother that my brother was nowhere to be found, my mom IMMEDIATELY started to visibly freak out. She was an absolute wreck and was so emotionally distraught trying to find my brother. Thankfully my brother was found at a nearby park and police were able to find him. I will never forget how shattered my mother looked when my brother was not at the school. The cries and screams my mom had continues to haunt me to this day and I am currently 28 years old. My Mother did the same thing in choosing to keep her predator husband (s) in marriages instead of having them charged for molestation and/or rape. I told her in both incidents and from each time she began her hatred and intense jealousy towards me making my whole life one of silence, living in fear and anxiety. Her way to silence me (she was a nurse at the VA) was to load me down with tranquilizers and then tell the whole family of relatives that "I had problems." This alienated me and my cousins stayed away from me. She is still alive at 85 today and has no repentance. This happened to me from age 7-11 with stepfather #1 and then stepfather #2 stripped naked in front of me when I was 12 years old. She couldn't care less. Mothers like this need to be in prison. Ya, I didn't understand that either. Unless she couldn't get off work and Maddy really wanted her party on her bday instead of the day before or something like that. I also remember hearing that it was the BFs idea to have that party (conveniently when moms at work.) I don't think the dipstick quite touches the oil with the mom. She doesn't seem mentally intelligent. Maybe she's been emotionally, verbally, subtly abused, gaslit and manipulated by the BF that she's in this brain haze during the initial interview as she's going based on what he's told her. “Guilty knowledge “, you guys are spot on‼️ Especially now given that so much more has come out. Including mom allowing SS to sleep in a separate room with Maddie. JS is despicable!

If Maddie had a difficult time with direction, why would you drop a child off way across the way.???

You could use it as a learning possibility- with enough training and preparation ahead of time. We did so with our autistic son. BUT we made sure, that he had his phone with him and the find location function enabled and the first few times one of us parents followed in a bigger distance to assist him in case something happens. They have to learn and build self confidence so there are reasons beyond laziness or malicious reasons like in this case .

My daughter left her phone at home that morning- you know she has ADD….*5 min later: she never called me, I never got a call from her. - I find the mother’s lacking use of logic, and unnecessary disparaging remark of a 13yr old to be subtle contempt showing. Then when the interviewer flat out asks her what info can she share as per the police…she proceeds to give ZERO helpful information that could help find her daughter. It’s just like those adoptive parents who harmed Orson and Orrin West. Kind of haunting.

Yeah she really blamed her daughter for a LOT. I’d be blaming myself for all kinds of stuff at that point. And by now, she knows about the SA and yet I don’t hear her throwing the bf under the bus at all . I think she’s involved

To be fair, when my sons forgot their phones at home, they made sure to text or call me from a friends phone just to let me know. So this would have been something I would have said too 🥴. On the other hand, if Mom wasn’t even sure if Madeline knew her whole address, she most likely wouldn’t know Mom’s phone number out of her head.

I think she loved her daughter but, like so many of these women, she is MORE afraid of the boyfriend not loving her anymore, of HIS behaviour with Maddy being exposed and him being arrested and jailed which would separate him from the mother. Sadly, over 90% of children who are killed are m*rd*red by someone they know and 80% of those people are step parents or someone in a position of a step parent such as mum's boyfriend. You can make an excellent argument that the mother loved the boyfriend more than Maddy but it's actually more her terror of being left alone, of NOT being loved by an adult man.
