Hi folks, I very rarely comment on the channel, and certainly not until this point put in a request for a video to review. But here goes. The video is on the you tube channel "Anything goes with James English" It's title is Undercover football holigan trying to bring down Britain's biggest firm. The video features an interview with someone poporting to be an ex undercover police officer who infiltrated Millwall football hooligans , but many have called into question his credibility. After been a follower of your channel I think I can see some clear soothing behavior, but I'm no expert, and a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. If you could look at it, I would be truly appreciative, Many thanks

To give them the benefit of the doubt... if you find a ransom note stating that your child has been abducted and will be murdered if you don't pay, your search for your child before calling the police is going to be briefer than if you just wake up and your child is missing. Mind you, I don't believe for one moment that the Ramseys are telling the truth about much of anything that happened between the time they left the Christmas party and the 911 call next morning, but speaking hypothetically if you have reason to believe your child was kidnapped, calling the police in after a cursory search makes sense. The Ramseys were/are masters of gaslighting. There is his assertion that the police treated them terribly, when in fact, they were treated with kid gloves. They evaded police questioning immediately after the murder, then flew to Georgia and back, all before they were ever interviewed by the cops. They repeatedly told the press that they were cooperating with the investigation while they were refusing to speak to the police. This case is infuriating. Between the murder, the premium-level gaslighting by the parents, and the kid-glove treatment by the police and DA, it's no wonder the case is unsolved. More than that, I sincerely doubt any of us regular folks, those of us without the money and political connections, would have gotten the same treatment if one of our children were brutally murdered in our home under similar circumstances.
@tiamia7139
@tiamia7139 Год назад
@@BuzzyStreet I couldn't agree with you more. John Ramsey is the Master Gaslighter. He was a CEO, used to calling the shots at his company and having people kowtow to him. He wasn't used to being told what to do. In interviews, he comes across as very cold and controlling. His "Mr. Nice Guy" act disappears real quick when the interviewer starts to ask questions that get too close to the truth. Ramsey knew where JonBenet's body was before he turned on the light in that basement room ( Fleet White was an eyewitness). Ramsey made sure that he contaminated JB's body by bringing her up from the basement instead of having police do it. He then covered her with a blanket as he was asking Detective Arndt if it was okay. She said he didn't give her a chance to tell him "No." He knew exactly what he was doing - contaminating the body. He then asked her if JB was dead even though it was obvious she'd been dead several hours. Arndt said she was in full rigor mortis with her arms sticking straight up over her head! Detective Arndt said she knew he was the killer and he was toying with her (Duper's Delight). The way he looked at her sent chills through her. Instead of comforting his wife in the living room and being with the friends and neighbors who now crowded their house (who they invited - further contamination of a crime scene!), she said Ramsey isolated himself in the kitchen to look through his mail, call his attorney (lawyer up), and book reservations to fly to Atlanta. He obviously had no intentions of sticking around and cooperating with police. Certainly not the behavior of an innocent, grieving father. More like a father who knows exactly what happened and wants to avoid questioning. And neither him nor Patsy said one word when the time for the alleged ransom call drew near...and passed. They knew it wasn't coming because JonBenet was not kidnapped. Because he was wealthy and "a big deal" (Ramsey's words) in little Boulder, the police did not follow the proper protocol and let Ramsey call the shots early on. They should have immediately isolated him and Patsy and interviewed them separately. They should have insisted they stay in Boulder and not leave town. If your child was murdered, you would want to stay there and help police, not immediately leave so that you and your spouse can get your stories straight.

@@tiamia7139 Agreed. I listened to several books regarding this case. When my son was younger he had anxiety about his hospital appointments and one night he took off over the fields surrounding our house. My husband ran after him and I immediately called the police as it was dark, cold and the fields went on for miles. When the police arrived, one went straight out into the fields and I attempted to go too but the officer that stayed behind made me go through the house with her. She went in every room, opened every single wardrobe and cupboard, looked under every bed, checked the loft, then checked the shed before the two of us went out into the fields. I’m still so surprised that the police in this case sent one of the parents to search the house instead of either doing it themselves or at least accompanying them.

The obsession with the note actually makes total sense- have you heard the movie term "MacGuffin"? The ransom note is the MacGuffin because there never was any kidnapping or attempted kidnapping. The more John can direct attention to this thing over here (the note), the less he has to talk about the thing that is actually important and incriminating, which is the murder. Actually, it's all incriminating because Patsy wrote the note, but when John says "whoever wrote the note is the killer", he knows that's not true. I don't think she was killed by her parents, nor by her brother; although I do think her parents covered up the crime, because they feared their son may have accidentally killed his sister, and they panicked. Eventually, they discovered the truth, that their daughter was the victim of an intruder, but it was too late to take back all the obstruction they'd already committed to shield their innocent son. It isn't unusual for parents to fear their children might harm each other, and not to believe their protestations to the contrary. Unfortunately, in their sloppy -- and probably unnecessary -- effort to protect their innocent son, they permanently cast suspicion upon themselves, and may have become responsible for the fact that their daughter's killer was never caught.

Patsy, a former beauty queen and Southern Belle, was also trained to keep her composure, even though she’s clearly not as good at it. She seems to me like a passionate and sensitive person, and the strange demeanor she has in interviews has more to do with the negative public attitudes and accusations towards her - she seems disgusted and defensive. What I remember about this case does not portray John & Patsy in a good light. I would think that any family looking to solve the murder of their child would do ANYTHING to move the investigation along. As I recall, they literally ghosted the police almost immediately when they should have been cooperating to rule themselves out first & foremost. I call it a perfect example of having enough money/clout to be above the law. The other thing that stands out in my memory is the use of the word “hence” in the ransom note…a fairly uncommon word that ~ it just so happened ~ was found amongst correspondence authored by Patsy……not to mention, the similarities to Patsy’s writing in the very long ransom note written on their own stationery. There was more but those are the standouts for me as I reflect. For John to call those with suspicions/questions hateful etc, he’s out of line. He brought the scrutiny on himself. Wealthy people hire extremely expensive lawyers, and those lawyers generally instruct clients to not cooperate with police. To not submit to questioning without their lawyer present, or to provide questions in writing. Would Joe Blow follow that advice? I wouldn't. I would do everything I could to give whatever information they wanted. But you have to remember John and Patsy Ramsey wouldn't have hired high-profile lawyers and then ignored their advice. Additionally, in 2008 the DA's office announced that the DNA sample they submitted through their office did not match anyone in the family. And they refused to give the Ramsey's access to do more modern testing. Nowadays scientists can practically draw a picture of what the person who left the sample looks like, and they can do familial tracing. There are a lot of unanswered questions and strange facts in this case. But that DNA is probably the key to finding the murderer and to finding if anyone in the family was actually involved in some way.

I'm more inclined to believe that Burke sexually assaulted her than John doing so. Burke is on the spectrum and, I believe, was probably a problem child, maybe hyperactive or ADHD. I think it's reasonable to assume that he was jealous of JB and was abusive to her. I read that he had hit her with a baseball bat or something a few weeks before her murder. I think John was a workaholic and Patsy was overwhelmed with the 2 kids, with JB's busy pageant schedule and Burke's behavior, which was probably a huge handful to a mother for whom appearances were EXTREMELY important. I think Burke probably embarrassed her, and I would bet on there being arguments in the home about John not being more present and participating in the kids' care and discipline. I can TOTALLY see Patsy screaming at John, and at her kids. I see her being a quintessential stage mom, demanding perfection, not getting it, and losing her shiz and screaming at them, while John escapes to his office or his den.

She denied it many times over when questioned by police though. This interview was done years after the murder, not weeks as they said. They had already hired their own investigators by the time they sat down for this interview over with years later. Also by the time of this interview Patsy had grown angry and bitter towards all media, police, and public accusations that she and the son had been involved. So she had become very defensithe and closed off by the time they agreed to sit down and do this local interview. One of the rules was no questions/accusations of their son. They were in protective mode and had been for over 2yrs, by the time the interview was set up with a local journalist by name of Paula Woodward. She went on to write her own book detailing a lot of the evidence that seem to prove it was not the family. And that police completely bungled the investigation from the time they showed up at the door, and continued to screw it up for the entire 1st year. Even local police agreed it was never done properly and evidence was ignored or not pursued by police because the DA got tunnel vision and was trying to land his place as a political contender.

John admitted he broke the window himself when he was locked out of the house one night. It was never repaired. He didn't mention it until his second trip to the basement and then only to his friend, FW, who then moved the suitcase to look for glass. He found a sliver that the housekeeper missed. LE searched the basement looking for an entry/exit, the wine cellar door would not open. It had a wooden latch at the very top, blocking it from opening. No one could have exited that way, or come in that way. John didn't even look in there on either of his 2 basement searches, but FW did. He doesn't remember a latch. What the interviewer should have said is: “Did you physically hurt Jon-Benet in any way? Did Burke? Did Patsy?” Because people deliberately departmentalise what is “kill”, what is “murder” so they can cloud the issues without admitting to themselves that they are in fact lying or misleading. It is mentally a plausible deniability.

Pimping out their daughter in pageants is creepy right from the get-go. He's too smooth in the older interviews. I have a lot of problems with mom too. They give me the creeps.

yes they turned her into a novelty, a cash cow and appealing to the lowest of the lowest inclinations of humanity, to cultivate and promote the coy, sexual mannerisms of a lolita in an innocent child who was probably forced to rehearse and learn skits to portray this fantasy. Ugh, reprehensible.

He knows she was not savagely murdered… that’s why he’s so calm. He didn’t murder her, he was part of covering up an accidental death.

I think he was coached by behavior experts 1) Don't avoid saying JonBenet's name or the word "murder" or "killed" (around 1:28:33) 2) Deny the question "Did you do it?" by using an unadorned, emphatic "NO!"

Chase’s hypothetical situation is along the lines of what I was thinking. The emphasis on ‘doing anything to protect my children’ jumped out at me. As if he actually did something to protect his son. I think he’s telling 95% of what he knows but Patsy looks like she knows a lot more.

I always wondered in Jon was trying to eat Burkes pineapple, that was found undigested in the autopsy, and he got mad and hit her, so both parents covered for their son. Or if Patsy got mad the Jon wet her bed and lost her temper, Jon still wet her bed sometimes apparently.

@@ericag4908 it's not just you, that's a common theory that many have held over the years even the detectives on the documentary that aired a few years back said that's what they surmise happened and they went through all the evidence a d determined that. It's like if I said I always had a little theory that we never landed on the moon! People would be like, never heard that before, tell me! Lol I'm not trying to be mean but this is a common theory. The way you worded it sounds funny.

@@ericag4908 There were stun gun marks on JB. Someone cracked almost her entire skull (it would have been a fatal blow), tortured her with a garrote, and sexually assaulted her with a paintbrush. That could not have been anyone in the family.
