The PB110 has much more bass, but its a good speaker i think

Altec Lansing used to make this speaker. It was called the Altec Xpedition. I've used it for tailgating and BBQs. It's a great speaker it gets pretty loud. JBL is definitely better when it comes to the bass. But the advantage of this speaker is it's everything proof.

This speaker competes with the JBL Partybox 310 in terms of loudness, but the sad part is, even the JBL Partybox Encore Essential beats this speaker in terms of bass! But that's not what this speaker is designed for, it wins in every other department!

Just got my 110 and already had my Altec Xpedition 800 (old version of the Gemini SOSP) and honestly, the sound quality on the 110 blows the 800 away. It's not as loud, it's not everything proof, and the battery isn't as good, but sound quality alone is night and day. On other YT videos the Xpedition/SOSP may sound brighter and more "open" but this is not the case in person.

Definitely agree the JBL has better fidelity which is what I expect from JBL. However the Gemini (known for affordable DJ and Pro Aduio) is definitely meant to play loudly which would be probably preferred at a party and it being waterproof is a definite plus for any celebration/event involving or near H2O. Good review!

It got me hyped for the Gemini SOSP 8 because it’s a completely waterproof party Speaker and with being at a swimming pool is awesome!

Trying something new🥰. It's good to see you again. After that long battle videos with the pb ee😂. I'm mind blown by that float test🤯. It sits upright, unlink all the jbl speakers that turns upside down. Sound quality is still jbl but great speaker though.

I demoed the jbl party box line up, its just narrow tinny mid range with a midbass bloat bleed into the mid which just makes a muddy presentation with decent highs and low low bass. Thanks for the reviews!

Press the MIC button to tell Siri or Google assistant to play, pause, stop or any other music control. This is so you can specify controls and not worry about taking the phone out of the back storage area while on the water!
