These hybrid products offer ingredients to promote skin health and also provide light coverage to even the skin tone or even correct discolouration. I've done a demo using one product on each side of my face to determine which performs better on my dehydrated skin and which I'll be repurchasing.

I prefer the CC cream. The BB cream is good if you like a proper foundation. This specific CC cream gives a very natural look and feel, people might not even guess that you're wearing make up, and you need very little of it to cover the face. In the product description you can find that CC cream is for light coverage and BB cream is for medium coverage. And for me the light coverage with other products never worked, but with this one, it does. So even if I don't put any other make up I just add a few drops of this CC cream and immediately look better. For me it's one of the best products I've ever had.

I think the BB side looks more covered. I prefer the cc side because it actually leaves some of the healthy redness visible on the cheek. Thanks for the demo!

Hmm, that video was a few years ago so it's quite possible the formula has changed. At the time I would have worked off the inci list. I haven't repurchased since that video.

Great video - love these type of products too! I do agree the BB cream looked a teeny tiny bit better...just did and don't know why. I haven't tried any of these but probably will as they are now on my radar! Faves are Trinny Destress, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue (Holy Grail) and It Cosmetics CC Cream. Although have been wearing Colorescience Flex sp50 all summer and its becoming a clear winner for me. Thanks!

Hey Mary I’m 70 and use the CC every day…I also have the BB when I want a little more long lasting coverage. Yes, a primer helps ( I use YLS Top Secret) but the travel size you highlighted are awesome! Thanks so much for the analysis! What mister do you recommend??

Deb Stargardt : I'm also 70 and actually have only a minimum of wrinkles, oily nose and dry cheeks (used to have oily skin allover). When I use my La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense mixed with a few drops of The Bodyshop Coconut Bronze and a dusting of fine powder on top, my cheeks look smooth. With Erborian SBB cream, I admit the coverage is much better BUT all over my face, including my cheeks, very fine lines become visible which I never saw using my normal routine. So the SBB definitely accentuates even fine lines. Don't you have a problem with that ? (I have to add that I haven't used a day cream underneath the SBB, will try that tomorrow.)

BB is for more coverage. CC is more like a face cream. You mix up a little. So, its correct that CC didn’t covered that much as BB side did:)

I still really like the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser that’s been around a while now . I have the Trinny one too but I do have to add some foundation to it as I feel it gives more of a glow rather than coverage . The BB one looked best on you xx

To be fair I use a LM primer with it because I have melasma patches . I like the colour range on LM products . I find the Trinny one highlights fine lines more but equally does feel really nice on the skin . It’s so tough when you have fair ageing skin 😫

@@helenbruce6718 Have to be honest - eat poorly on the weekends (could be burgers/pizza) but mostly ok during the week. I do intermittent fasting and don't eat breakfast but generally high protein lunch (lots of eggs), good fats like avocado and same for dinner. Lots of veggies/salads. I drinks TONS of water all day long and hydrate my skin regularly with mists. I place a lot of focus on skincare so try to treat it right.

As a guy (who's never been afraid of expressing himself through makeup) if i want to just wear something really really light that just gets rid of my redness and uneven skin tone I absolutely love the CC Redness reduction cream from Erborian - i only just started using it this week and it's great.... i can still see the skin imperfections but the uneven skin tone factor is resolved... i only put a very light amount on though - so you can still see the odd freckle but that's what makes it great

You know it bought last year when in the US at a place called Alter'd State. It cost next to nothing. I just checked their website and don't see it anymore. I really wish I'd bought one in white too!

@@helenalovelock1030I love Trinny BFF. For me, it lasts all day. However, I don’t touch my face. The bad part is it’s hugely expensive. You need 2 pumps for good coverage and with 1 oz, you’re out of it in no time. And they NEVER have sales! So I’m looking for a replacement.

@@SkinObsessedMary I like the CC more but also use the BB for some color. Using the lightest shade. I may buy a shade darker… even though I’m warm tone and a bit fair. Not sure if that makes sense? Anyway, I’ve tried high end and drugstore but have stayed with Erborian.

I have the CC cream and like the feel of it. However, I have the lightest color and it is VERY orange. I have to be extremely careful to blend and add a lighter powder.

Hi, I stumbled upon this video because I'm thinking about buying either the cc or bb cream. The bb side on your face looked great, I can definitely see a difference. Do you think this product can be applied with a brush? Or is the fingertips the best way?

It can definitely be applied with a brush and I think they actually recommend it. Maybe I’ll try that next myself 🤔 I’ve used 2 different sunscreens and both work perfectly - DRMTLGY SPF 46 and Elta MD Tinted UV Clear Broad Spectrum 46. But I always wait 15 min before applying BB cream

I've been using the CC cream for 6 years and find it to be extraordinary. I use it sparingly (2 rice grains for my whole face and neck), it gives great coverage, lasts all day through 33C/ 85% humidity, swimming in the sea, and there is always product left when I wipe with a tissue or towel at the end of the day (a perfect test for my facial cleanser!) Perhaps it fades on your skin because, as you mention, you mist it away, but also because you apply too much and it slides off? Regardless, loved this video; your skin is gorgeous and you glow!

I do find them hydrating and to be honest, I didn't see a massive difference between them. I will be doing a video shortly on another product that may work even better for covering redness. Just testing but like even more..

If I remember correctly, Nadine said BB one has more coverage and I have to agree. Definitely looks better and that side held up pretty good. So, I vote for the BB cream. May I add, you look amazing for your age. Well, you look amazing- period.

I have the CC cream color clair. I like the product, but the shade is weird, very pinkie. I don't know if I should try the next shade, which would be the dore. I'm afraid it may look too dak for me. I find the Dior is too dark for me unless I've had a ton of sun and I haven't tried Clair yet but I'm confident it'll be too light. I'm considering picking it up and mixing them together. It gives more flexibility...

Hi Karen, yes I'm a Medium in Trinny, Neutral Medium in IT CC Cream and Medium Warm in Your Skin But Better Foundation (I can wear both neutral and warm) and Diore in Erborian though it's a bit dark outside of summer. I intend to buy Claire and mix.

Trinny every time. I think Trinny feels lighter on the skin and I just love the finish. It also depends which Trinny product you mean (I have 3 I use regularly). Plus, the scent is AMAZING...

¡de nada! Sí, la producción de colágeno alcanza su punto máximo a los 20 años y solo disminuye a partir de ahí. Probablemente comenzaría con un retinoide algunos días a la semana cuando tenga 30 años y lo aumentaría diariamente cuando tenga 40 años. Está bien investigado para reducir las arrugas.

That's a very good question! Keeping my skin hydrated is my number 1 priority so I wasn't able to go the full day without misting. It may also last longer on someone with less dehydrated skin. My skin always absorbs my makeup more than most 😣

Both creams suit you well and I didn't see much difference. But my opinion is ,if you use sponge maybe the cover would last more hours😳

I'm always back and forth with sponges. They deliver fantastic finish but they also suck up a lot of product. I may try with brush and sponge to see how it goes...

I just tried the Super BB Cream .... It looks and feels VERY dry. It's not for older skin as it really accentuates my wrinkles, all of them, big ones and small ones and it really does look cakey on me. I have combination skin and it looks sort of okay on my nose but definitely not on my dry cheeks where literally every little line and crease is visible now, I didn't know I had so many ! Maybe it would look better with a day cream underneath but that is not the point of this product which claims to be makeup and treatment in one. Really disappointed.

That is a very good point! I still use my skincare underneath because I'm on the dehydrated side. I'm using more as a makeup replacement.

@@SkinObsessedMary I'm 70 and actually have only a minimum of wrinkles, oily 'T' and dry cheeks (used to have oily skin allover). When I use my La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense mixed with a few drops of The Bodyshop Coconut Bronze and a dusting of fine powder on top, my cheeks look smooth. With ESBB cream EVEN WITH my Hydraphase Intense moisturizer very fine lines become visible which I never saw using my normal routine. I admit the coverage is better with ESBB but I prefer less coverage and no visible lines anytime. In a nutshell : putting on my moisturizer first did not avoid the visibilty of fine lines. I suppose younger, smoother skin would definitely benefit but not older skin.

I've definitely seen men wear it....perhaps it depends on your skin tone. It's a bit on the thicker side.

I personally think that this cc is a terrible product, as on my skin it turns orange as a carrot. And the smell is not what one would call pleasant. I don’t understand why this product gets so many positive reviews

@@SkinObsessedMary i liked it until I saw a few pictures of myself wearing it. I have the right colour etc but it looked so heavy. It doesn’t last very long on me either. It’s hard to get right balance with good coverage but not too heavy
