Great tips. Building email lists is always some thing I struggle with setting up. It just feels tedious and I hate paying to store them. Would this work as well if you created your own sign-up form on your website and just directed everyone there? Building email lists is always some thing I struggle with setting up. I hear you Clarice. Many of the email service providers have a free option for the first 500 or so subscribers, so I'd start there. The issue with DIY is deliverability, being marked as spam, and maintaining your list (and unsubscribers) and I don't recommend it. Depending on your website type and host, some do offer email list addons, but I don't have personal experience of that. Once your business and mailing list grow, the cost of your email list should be offset by the income you receive from those readers on your list purchasing your books. It's a business expense, but absolutely should pay for itself (hence keeping the list of your genuine readers who'll support your career. ~ Shar
