Turning your Glock’s striker into a masterpiece takes time, patience and precision.🔧🔥 We offer a striker upgrade ($80) that turns the OEM striker to mirror polished perfection. You can see Johnny Glock working on one in the video, throughs years of trail and error he’s turned re-facing, de-tooling, honing, and high-polishing into a recipe that he can do by hand and likely with his eyes closed removing microns of materials consistently each time. Here’s some of his tips for new gunsmiths for educational purposes only 🎯✨
Flat Surface is Key: 🔄 Begin on a flat surface for precision.
Start with 500 Grit: 🏞 Gently sand with 500 grit, keeping it flat. Check progress often.
Gradual Finer Grits: 📈 Move to finer grits (1000, 1500, 2000,10000) for that mirror shine.
Consider Padding Trick: 🧽 Use a spongy lining for a slightly rounded finish. Start lower grit if using padding.
Magic with Mother’s Magic: ✨ Apply Mother’s Magic polishing compound for that extra gleam. Rag it in!
Dremel Precision: ⚙️ Use a Dremel with a felt attachment for a final precise polish, removing tool-in lines.
Check & Repeat: 👀 Regularly check for a smooth finish. Repeat until it’s perfect. 🔄
There’s more than one way to skin a cat $80 upgrade or or $150 diy project. For shooters money and time is no object when pursuing the ultimate trigger feel and with Johnny’s expertise we will get you there one way or another! 💪🔥 #DIYTrigger #GunsmithingMagic #JohnnyGlocksTips

the older videos are good but the quality is so much better now. the older videos were kinda dark and the quality wasnt the best plus sometimes it was just johnny trying to show us how the platform works while trying to keep everything in frame alligned it seemed like it could be a mess at times

It's incredibly disingenuous to label a video as DIY when it's a clickbait advertisement. I expected better from your business.

I agree. Also using the round section of a mini belt sander is a very poor choice of tool to do the polishing on. I assume the idea is to make the striker slide smoothly inside the striker spring but I think the channel liner prevents the spring from kinking at all so the striker probably only needs the top 3/4" surface polished in front of the sear surface. Polishing the tip might make it a tiny bit more durable and polishing the firing pin lock notch probably does nothing at all. I don't think I'll be spending $80 on that.

@@beardoe6874 only place firing pin needs polished is where contact happens with cruciform portion of trigger bar...
