I was told the Meniscus tear behind my knee is not operable. I was unable to walk. With many weeks of physical therapy, exercise at home, simple walking and exercise in the pool, I’ve come a long way. I take vitamins, supplements and no longer eat any foods with additives, sugars or high in carbs. I also fast for 16 hours between my two meals a day and don’t eat after 7 p.m. My goal is to get functional walking and balance back. I’m 64.
You got this! Look into leg compression. It help me after a year of unable to walk without pain. It helps flush out stagnant blood and push in new healing blood in the area. Also look into knee over toe guy. This RU-vid here help me a lot as well as bob and brad
Way to take charge of your own health! We ALL need to be doing this as much as we can. It's crazy to me that we aren't taught everything we need to know about our bodies from the time we can be taught! Instead it's used against us to need the medical field money. Thank the Lord there are doctors like this that will share information to give us more self reliance. God bless!
I am overweight but I do have knee problem. However, I went from 390 to 335 in two years and still losing more but going keto. Thank you for giving me hope.
I’ve had MRI show complex bakers cyst, meniscus tears, osteoarthritis and ligament tears. I’m a hiker and MTB cyclist and have been so discouraged. After listening to your descriptions about healing with correct rehab and muscle rebalancing I’m encouraged! Thank you SO much for your videos and programs.🙏🏻
David, you are truly an exceptional human being who is unconditionally committed to healing humanity. Your content is exceptional. And you are so cute that I could pinch your cheeks! 😂 God Bless you ♥
Suffer meniscus tear and stress fracture in Nov 22, I did all the rehabilitation shown on the web. Terrible pain. I declined the scope in March, given that was a fast track to partial replacement on my left knee back in 2020.I really don't want a replacement on my right knee. I was frustrated and limping until I found this Dr. and learned I was going about my rehab the wrong way. I've been working on my glues for 3+ weeks, I'm no longer limping and have started to walk a bit more now. THANK YOU DR.
Hi you are my hero I am 86 and they talking about knee replacement which I am really against but I am trying your suggestions and I am really finding I have lest pain thank you Colleen from South Africa
Thank you for so much information about meniscus tear. I am not medically diagnose, but I am currently having pain in my knee and believe I tore my meniscus. I have been researching for natural treatment or exercises I can do at home as I am trying to avoid surgery. Listening to you that it can heal gives me hope without having surgery. Thank you.
Thank you soooo very much for your caring and professional advice/support, I have been watching your videos. An MRI shows I have medial torn meniscus and osteoarthritis would like to be a part of the online sessions.
Many thanks Dr. David, my first diagnosis was meniscus tear here in Vegas, i went to Tijuana Mexico a month ago my second diagnosis is Pata de ganso, with steofitos in Spanish am so lost i can't found the root of my knee problems. Am trying some of your exercises am doing and feel better.
Dr. David really talked with a lot of sense. I really understand my current situation right now by listening to his explanations and did all what he has to advised. Last couple of months I went to a military hospital here in the Philippines, I am not going to say the name of the hospital but I sure did and ask for help but it turns out to be the biggest mistake of my life. The duty orthopedic who turns out to be a Major said something while attending to me that I was just shopping for reasons to avoid reassignments and hard duties, that words of his really like sending bullets to my head because I knew myself for 22 years of military duties, I was faithful to the service. I just filed my Retirement folder with a heart ache! Bravo Zulu to those sharing their expertise and knowledge to the masses.
I have had 2 meniscus surgeries. I'm from Ontario Canada. I was told last March I need a knee replacement. Having MS I am not wanting a knee replacement especially after researching the surgery. My knee has not been able to stretch my knee fully, can't get down on the floor, my knee just won't bend, walking was a huge issue as well. I went to physio for many yrs and they always focused on quad strengthing exercises. Since I started to follow you, Dr David has helped me so much! I am so much better now! Thank you for your knowledge and caring ❤. I agree being overweight dose play a factor in healing.

I started out w/ a torn meniscus in 2013, I had 3 injections which helped for yrs. Then I got older and kept falling (on my knee) and now I'm scheduled for a TKR the first wk in January. I'm not able to walk very far (half a block). I'm in Phoenix still roasting but it's cooling off. Thx for the info.
I have had a tear 3 rd grade.I was feeling better after 6 weeks ,but i started yoga and my 45 mts walk.I suddenly had tremendous pain while walking, and now i have severe pain and slight swelling. So is my walk that created this pain again
Pain from knee to back. Happened recently and Saturday I can only find a Sobador and relieved for a couple of hours. Watching your videos I believe sophenous nerve.
Hey, from Houston Texas I’ve recently been towed and had an MRI of both knees stating they want to start doing surgery on my right knee immediately for a malicious tear that I have. The doctor was only in there I promise no more two minutes if that he came in he says MRI shows you need surgery. You have two knees with tears in them but here’s the thing my gut is telling me not to do it. I’m searching on RU-vid for all the hospitals and other doctors like videos like yourself, saying not to do it basically I’ve had people who’s had it and told me not to do it I’m 61 years old female and that has a concert. Also at the fair not doing it and I am doing stretches of exercise that’s meant for my knee unfortunately every time I go into physical therapy they want to charge me $50 so I can’t afford that going to her three times a week too much for me so I am trying to do stretches at home doing my bicycling very gently slowly and walking, so what are your thoughts? I know you can’t say yay or nay, without looking at the x-rays are they film but what are your thoughts on something like this make up is still just so you know no no but back of my mind is thinking if you don’t get this done, it’s going to get worse. I just don’t know what to do
Hi Dr. Davis! I am from NY USA, I have torn meniscus & cartillage according to my orthopedic specialist in my last diagnosis 2021. I did the 3 excercises as I view this. It hurts my right knee but I can bear it. Do I need to have the knee replacement or just feel myself get better after your excercises. Had a hard time climbing stairs, I am a health care worker doing lots of walking and lifting patients. Thanks for answering my questions.
My right knee problem began about 3 months ago. I’d been kneeling a couple of days prior to my knee starting to click - no pain just clicking when walking and moving in bed. The clicking then stopped and pain in the inside of my knee began. I went to the urgent care centre and after a very quick examination the doctor said I have bone on bone arthritis. Anyhow I’m seeing a physiotherapist tomorrow and hoping for some help. The knee is getting stiff as are surrounding structures. I’m 62, male and have some additional weight on me (MC4R). I already walk with a stick due to pre-existing spinal issues so plenty to deal with :) I just wanted to say thanks for giving me hope😊

Hi David. I want to avoid surgery on my left knee. My doctor said it will never heal. It’s a moderate to severe tear. I don’t feel pain in my knee unless I bare weight on it-which I have been avoiding. I am able to walk without pain. I offset weight from my knee when using stairs. My doctor said my tear is in the interior back part of my meniscus. MRI says “In the medial compartment there is a moderate to severe tear at the posterior root of the medial meniscus with slight meniscal extrusion. Reactive sub cortical edema/cystic change in the tibia is noted.” Could you please explain this? Can I be healed without surgery? Surgery will only guarantee arthritis as I age. I have a little arthritis now. I am a 57 year old female. 5’3” and 195lbs. Lost 33lbs in 2021 and gained 24lbs of it back. Has anyone you know healed from my condition without surgery? Could you recommend a therapist in my area? South Orange, NJ. Thank you. You’re a God send. You truly care about people recovering and healing without unnecessary surgery.
Lower Lake California. Thank you for all your help. Doctors can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong. But following you seems to be my piriformis muscle and my sciatic. I can’t hardly walk but after exercising with you the next day I’m fine somewhere lol thank you again I appreciate you.
I LOVE this guy!!! HOW to fire your glutes without getting the hamstrings and quads involved. No. one has ever brought this up!! I would like to get on to this recovery program for this inside meniscus tear due to tibial rotation. Where to find this? Thank you SO much Dr. David!

Would you please talk about pain in patella which had subluxation during a fall on a cement block on the ground 4 months ago and pain still go and come back
Hi David, i noticed issues with knee last September 2023. Its now 7 months swelling behind left knee, initial pain were on left external side, now paiin concentrated towards front of knee. Ankle is also affected same leg, as is hip ( GTPS) plus hamstring tendinopathy. Quads also feel tight on left leg, as does calf . Just been referred this week for MRI on knee... had 3rd injection in hip( inflamed bursitis) yesterday. I suspect i am trying to do too much by walking every day ..will need to stop and check out exercise program. Physio has only given exercises for the other issues ( hip/ hamstrings)

Julie from Virginia.... Question: I'm a 34 year quadriplegic. I took a couple falls recently and I'm pretty sure I have a Meniscus tear in both knees. I haven't been to the doctor but want to avoid surgery. Since I'm in a sitting position in my wheelchair during the day, can I heal with just a brace on each knee?
