In this episode of Gil Skillz, I install the wire harness for my 2010 Toyota RAV4 so I can hook up a trailer and power it's lights!! :) This brings me one step closer to upping my scrapping game!! :) Enjoy!

I had to pay 400 bucks to get a hitch and wiring harness put on my 2004 rav4

I use my Rav4 to drive uber and lyft. I make about 20 an hour on average. If you ever decide to try it out use my driver referral code and we'll both get a bonus!

I got the driver-side connector apart....grrr...and I THINK I just located the passenger-side pull-apart thingy somewhere beyond what my fingers can see. It is really in the totally tail end, right behind the actual lights? But, much worse, after exerting the last bit of my girlish energy....the Clippy things DO NOT CLIP TOGETHER! I was SO close! The one I opened on the Rav has a side release clip and the one that I purchased has a back release. One of these things is NOT like the other. Even if I managed to connect them, I am not sure the little pointy parts would go into the correct holey parts. (I refuse to use the M and F designations as that is just vulgar). Even if I did get them to conjugate, I am pretty sure that I would not have current go to and from the right places. Fun - Sue :)

ARGH! I tried to take out that little round rubber stopper thingy for the black wire and didn't it just fall right THROUGH into the body of the vehicle? I will McGuyver something rubber-like to protect the wire from the metal. I'm a seamstress. I got this. :) WHERE did your little patch of sticky tape come from? You didn't mention whether it came in the package or you supplied it. I get one chance (sort of) to make it stick so what do you suggest? Anyway, I'm following your instructions at 9 pm on a Saturday in July since I no longer seem to have a life. I keep coming back in to watch the video and I'm getting it right so, Way to go, YOU, and WAY TO GO, ME!! Happy trails. - Sue
