Thanks for your holy grails. I have been interested in Allies of Skin products. I love their sunscreen and am excited to hear of your love of some of their other products that have got my interest. Have you tried any other products?
Hahaha I think I've tried them all 🤣 Their Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment is a holy grail (it's the only thing I take when I travel) go.shopmy.us/p-5656989 The Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream is another go.shopmy.us/p-4492338 The lip galm is amazing go.shopmy.us/p-2228432 They're pricey but worth every penny, in my opinion. SOMARY gets 20% off too 😁
Thanks to one of your other videos I started using Allies of Skin peptides and I love it! Now ordering the eye cream plus that are having buy one get one free!! My holy grail-Osmosis Catalyst! Thanks
Some great products in there, a few within my budget! There was a similar sulphate-free 'shampoo' out a few years ago, I forget the brand, maybe it's still available but it was good, didn't strip the hair of oils and was under €10. I missed the 'suds' though, I guess because we are so conditioned to that 🙂One product I'll never be without is The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10%. Use it a couple of times a week at night and it makes my skin glow the next day.
@@SkinObsessedMary Most effective serum I've used to brighten the skin!. For me, best results when used at night 5-6 drops with nothing over the top twice a week. But everyone has their own way of using!
Hi Mary, love the video! My five holy grail products are: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser, Biologique Recherché P50 Original lotion, Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara, Skincueticals Vitamin C E Ferulic Serum, and Lawless lip plumping gloss 💕
P50 has been on my list for years. I just need to pick it up! And I tried the CE Ferulic for the first time and am so sad I like it so much. It's pricey!
Hi Mary! I only have 3 products that I’ve purchased 5 times in the last few years. Cerave hydrating cleanser, Agency tretinoin formula and Beauty of Joseon sunscreen. I do have Maysama as well. I rotate using Maysama, DRMTLGY needless serum and Ordinary Copper Peptides before using LED mask. Of the 3, my favorite is needless serum.
My allergies and sensitive skin can't handle the True Botanicals oil, I can use the Paula's Choice face oil. I love Olaplex. Thanks for the tip of using the bonding oil daily.
This was fun One of the products I have purchased over and over is Neogenisis recovery You turned me one to Tue botanicals and I am currently trying their new serum x
I have 5 of the 10 things, I just got the haircare and excited to try. Have you tried the Empelle, I have the day serum, another expensive thing. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks so much for watching 😊 Yes, I tried Empelle a few years ago and while I did like it, I didn't really see any kind of difference (and for the price, I'd really want to). Have you tried it yourself?
@@SkinObsessedMary Yes I am trying the empelle at the moment but only just started, I also have the AB the cream but haven't tried it but really keen to since you love it so much!!
Was going to ask if you were still using the Allied Eye Cream Mary so was very happy to see this video come up on my feed! Question though.....are you still using the Niod NIOD Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate underneath or is the Allied enough?? Thank you 😁
Ceravea face wash la roche posay toner Sanctuary wet body moisturiser clinique gel moisturizer Body shop white musk body spray. New that will re buy geek and gorgeous vit c and there face spray wow that stuff is good xxx
@@SkinObsessedMary its the one for sensitive skinny, absolutely lovely. The sanctuary do 3 types the natural oil is the most moisturizering. That face spray from Geek and Gorgeous is unbelievable as soon as I spray its instant moisturizer with plumping. X
@@SkinObsessedMary I actually use the prebiotic mist and hyaluronic acid w/ resveratrol. I didn't go in with the intention of using three of their steps but I'm glad I did. Minus retinol, I feel that I'm getting everything done on three easy steps so you are correct in saying low maintenance skincare people would love this. (I'm not low maintenance by any means!!! Lol)
I have been using Tretinoin for 3 years. I use 0.1% now and love the effect it gives me. I don't have any problems on my neck either. This is my holy grail. Serum with ascorbic acid from Geek& Gorgeous, Niod mist with dismutase. The rest, like creams or cheeses, is changeable, but I think about this oil from True botanicals intensively. I live in Poland, here the price is killer. Thanks for the recommendations😁
Do you use the vitamin c serum in the morning? Do you use the tretinoin on bare face or over moisturizer? How many times a week? What do you wash your face with?
@@leslieridenour2734 In the morning, I spray my face with Niod mist, then apply vitamin C serum. Then moisturize, wait 10 minutes and apply Spf 50. In the evening, I wash my face with emulsifying oil, then gel, spray my face with Niod mist, apply Apad serum with azelaic acid by Geek and Tretinoin. I wait about an hour and apply a moisturizer. Sometimes some serum.
Hi among the cleansers uou have mentioned which cleanser would you recommend for a one step or single cleanser that removes sunscreen for extreme dry skin?
Hi there, if you were looking for just 1 single cleanser to do everything, then you'll need something the can really remove makeup and then also not strip the skin. There are 2 I'd recommend. Affordable is The Inky List Oat Cleansing Balm go.shopmy.us/p-212708 My fave is Allies of Skin Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser go.shopmy.us/p-886948
Love this list Mary! 💓 Just curious, and want to get your opinion: When using the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream, they instruct users to forgo all other skincare products, save for cleanser. So, while it's incredibly pricey 😳 do you think it could it be a good stand alone (i.e. replace multiple products that add up to more combined $ than the price of this one product)? Would love to know what you think 🤔
Hi Jill, absolutely not! I don't think any singular product can deliver it all so for me, I treat this is a regular ol' moisturiser. I still use hydrators, eye products, specialty serums (at the moment I'm using Iraye and love it), tretinoin, etc. How's SF? Looking forward to my trip out there in August!
@@SkinObsessedMary Thanks so much for your opinion Mary, I figured as much but just thought I'd ask. I'd love to find a way to be able to afford AB, but sadly it's just not feasible 😮💨 Guess I'll just have to keep playing the lotto! haha 🤞😂
Hi there. Great video. I'm just wondering if you've ever purchased from the Allies of Skin website in the US. If so, does the receipt come with the item prices on it? I'd like to purchase a gift, but I didn't see a gift receipt option on their website.
Hi there! Sorry for the delay - I was waiting for a response from AOS. Yes, if you purchase from the US site, they do not include receipt, so you're good to go. They're still having their buy one get one free sale and SOMARY gets an additional 15% off. Happy shopping 😁
@@SkinObsessedMary - Thanks so much. I reached out to them as well, and they told me they include the price on the shipping label. So I sent it to another friend's house so she can remove the price before sending off, but when it got to her house yesterday she said there was no price included. But I was able to get the BOGO and the 15% off, so thanks for that as well.
I’m considering buying the AOS eye cream and have been waiting for it to come back in stock. It just did so. I’m hoping you may see my message and be able to get back to me before it runs out of stock again. I’ll be 53 in Nov and at my age, am not sure this product alone (Even with all its great ingredients) is going to be enough for my under eye wrinkles. It may plump the skin, but I’m thinking I’m probably going to need to use tretinoin under my eyes like I do on my face, but at a lower %age then what I use on my face. I read online that you are 53; Is that true? Do you use anything to treat your under eyes wrinkles (like Tretinoin or cosmetic treatments)other than this moisturizer? It would really help me to know to adjust my expectations. I apologize if you’ve addressed this in other videos as this is the first one I’ve seen of yours (but enjoyed it and I’m planning to watch more!) Thank you so much, Mary.
Hi there! I hope I can help 🙏 I tinker with a lot of things but I DO the believe the AOS Peptides & Growth Factor Serum helps with crows feet. I did a video last year after using for 42 days and they wrinkles are definitely reduced. The video is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pG0l-RnDLAY.html I love the eye cream but I find it's better for skin texture and hydration than actual wrinkles (but that's just me). I'm also trying the One Skin eye product which is amazing. Just need to see how it'll work over time. Then....I used an antiaging device that completely destroyed my eyes so I've been trying to repair ever since. I have a video going up this weekend where I only used 3 AOS products for 6 weeks and again, the wrinkles were reduced. Again, I think it's from the Peptides & Growth Factors serum. I also use red light therapy every day, which builds collagen over time and has shown great results. I also use retinoids up under my eyes. There's no magic bullet so I experiment and layer lots hydrating products to plump my skin. Have you tried any devices like red light or microcurrent? They can show great results too. Not sure I really helped 😬
@@SkinObsessedMary I did a ton of research into red light therapy and almost pulled the trigger on the Omnilux ones during a sale but then was looking at the DermaLux flex panel given it also helps with pain. I realize you guys got a lot of stuff in PR and for most people, purchasing all of these devices, and the very expensive serums, etc. is not feasible. I use Altreno (Tret lotion which I much prefer to the cream) and tried using the lowest dosage, Trey cream under my eyes but they are extremely sensitive to everything. They can’t even tolerate niacinamide. I was using Botox since my late 20s and then fell over but I had to stop last year as I am now on disability for major medical issues and I’m just horrified by my looks as I’ve never looked my age, and all of a sudden, I’m the one person who does as opposed to everyone else who uses cosmetic treatments, etc. The plan was for a facelift at 50 (instead of wasting thousands of dollars multiple times a year injectable filler, that doesn’t even really look natural) but you know what they say about plans. (Man plans, God laughs). I used to use TNS essential serum back when I worked for a plastic surgeon. Growth factors are great, but not affordable for the average person. Which device really damaged your eyes because I want to avoid that one? Was it microcurrent? (I’m not using devices on my face, but just in case for the future!) I have read that some people who use red light devices have developed hyperpigmentation. I know they’re not supposed to do that, that only blue light potentially does, but it does concern me. I was trying to decide between Omnilux and DermaLux but then I saw that Maysama came out with a face mask that covers the lips which I was hoping the other masks would also do. I’m not sure if the Maysama one is a strong as the competitors and of course they promote the serum so that’s a extra expense. I have to be very careful with my money, so I’m not sure where it’s best spent. I’ve also considered getting red light device for the eyes as that one is relatively inexpensive, and I would use that in addition to a facemask or panel. I know red light will help as Tret has. But nothing is going to do what Botox or a facelift would and I have to be realistic about that.
@@SkinObsessedMary thank you for being so sweet and genuine. I’m so thrilled to have found your channel. I went to buy the allies of skin ice cream, which finally came back in stock and wouldn’t you know, they’re out of the peptide moisturizer? Every time I go onto their website and want to take advantage of whatever freebie they’re giving (currently a night serum), they’re out of one of the products, so I’m not able to take advantage of it. Unlike some other skincare websites, they won’t let you purchase it while it’s out of stock to take advantage of the promotion which I really want to do given how expensive the products are. I’m sure by the time they get the peptide cream back in, they’ll be out of the eye cream again. This happens every time, so I always end up not following through with the order. They really ought to get their inventory up. The eye cream was out of stock for months. The only time they have both products I want in stock, is when they’re not offering a promotion. Go figure.
@@SkinObsessedMary I can’t find my original response, but I wanted to add to it. You actually really helped a lot. I went to AOS website to look at that eye serum. Of course, they’re out of the moisturizer because they’re always out of one of the items I want which keeps me from being able to take advantage of whatever free gift they’re offering but the current free gift is a MANDELIC PIGMENTATION CORRECTOR NIGHT SERUM & I’m not sure if it’s OK to use that with the acids in it, at same time I’m using tretinoin under my eyes. If not, then, I wouldn’t want to use it. And that very expensive growth factor eye serum sounds great but if I need to be using a super expensive moisture, along with it, then that’s not doable. And I have no idea how long the ice serum would last but if it’s less than three months, I can’t justify the cost.
some people can exfoliate everyday and be fine. some people can only do it a couple of times a week, once a week, once every couple of weeks, etc. it depends on the individual’s skin, ingredients, percentage, formulation, etc. what works for some people might not work for others. skincare is personal, and people need to figure out what is best for their own skin. also according to the byoma website, the lactic acid is included as a ph adjuster.
me below is absolutely right. For years I use The Ordinary 10% Lactic acid every day without any issue. In this instance, it's pretty far down the INCI list so I suspect it won't cause sensitivity.
Mary is the mist only good for 6 months. I have only used half of it and it will be 6 months old in June since I purchased. A friend told me that it expires after 6 months and breaks down and needs to be thrown away. I would love to know if that is true. Is there a ending date on it once opened??
Hi Tina, the packaging does say it has a 6 months shelf life. I sent a message on IG so let's see if they come back. I usually finish the bottle long before 6 months myself. If you're worried about it there are a lot of other mists you can try. Let me know if you want some recommendations.
@@SkinObsessedMary you are the best !! Thank you so much 😊 I’ve just subscribed for a year, I think it is a really good collagen and very affordable, I am glad you found it !
