I love your videos- I am in my late 70’s and just getting started in card making. I too talk to myself, laugh at my mistakes and admire my cards that turn out. I just can not stop - I have over 100 in my stash now. People ask me what are you going to do with them - right now I don’t know I just love making them and can’t seem to part with them. You are so much fun to watch.
Oh that’s brilliant, it’s all about enjoying what you’re doing. I give lots of mine to a friend who sells them for charity and I give a lot to the local hospice to raise money, but there are some that I just can’t part with, until the next favourites come along 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
I just want to say I love watching your videos. I am glad I am not the only one that has racing ideas spouting in my head !!! Love the way you giggle at yourself!!!!
Hi Marion, what a superb video!! You’re thought process is just amazing to watch and just love it when you have a different idea from the one you initially started out with, it really is the best to watch!! I love all your videos, your cards are just beautiful and your personality just shines through. Thank you so much for all the inspiration ❤. Take care Much love…Ann ❤❤ xx
Great cards as always Marion. Love watching your thought processes!! And thanks for reminding us to use our old stuff - I have the hearts and the leafy twigs - note to self to use x
No offence, but that cracked me up 😂😂😂😂 of course I’ve always talked like this, I’m a common old bird from Essex, no airs and graces here 😂😂 glad you liked the cards 🥰🥰🥰
If you roll your brayer over another card topper instead of wiping with a baby wipe, you will end up with another background without wasting ink😉cheers from 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦beautiful cards!! 😊
I must admit I do that when I do my mixed media journal, but I find that there’s still ink left, I probably don’t roll hard enough 😂😂 I’ll try and remember to do that with my cards, I’m always needing spare backgrounds, thanks for reminding me 🥰🥰🥰
I buy stuff and just stockpile it - I'll be dead before i can get through it. I need professional help! Love your channel, Marion, thanks for being you 😁 xx
I hear you, I’m exactly the same 🫣🫣 I’m just hoping my granddaughters will love craft as much as me, I have to leave it all to someone 🥰🥰🥰 thanks for being here xxx
I want to be your American best friend. I have just recently come across your channel and I feel like we should be besties. You are so inspiring! Buying supplies and using them are 2 separate hobbies for me.
Hi Marion, I have only just found you on RU-vid.. love your videos and how your brain works!!! I'm not alone! Lol🤣 I'm in Australia now, but originally from the UK, so your accent reminds me of home. Thanks for taking your time to show fab ideas and share some laughs. X
Ha ha😃 your videos are so fun to watch! These leaves are so beautiful. I bought mine years ago but haven´t used them for a while. I will have to pull them out and use them :) Thanks so much for your inspiration. 😍🤗
Hi Marion, I've only just discovered your videos but l am hooked, I'm useless at embossing despite trying many times, but I'm so inspired by you and your flitting about with ideas and just being who you are, it's so freeing, l love laughing with you and now want to try so many things, my mind is just blown away with your inspiration l don't know what to try first. Keep up the amazing work l love it and you. 🎉
You are so funny. Your thoughts flitter here & there, and I wonder “ oh no” 😯, but every time, you pull it off and they look great! 🥰. Thanks for the fun, & keeping it real!
" We buy stuff and maybe use it once and never use it again...." Have you been lurking outside of my craft room window 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 great video, thank you so much as usual! ❤
Absolutely stunning cards Marion. Thank you. I admire you so much, you start off not really knowing what you will do, have an idea and end up with beautiful cards.
A Big Big thank you marion, over the last few months I've lost my mojo, You've given me simplicity back which I think are the card that stands out ,your brilliant xx❤
Amazing cards, Marion. I also love those leaf dies. Actually any leaf dies💕I think Tim H Sizzix has some leaf dies that just cut out of the background without cutting out a separate leaf. They are pretty interesting as well.
Love the distress ink and oxides one of the best investments I made was an office metal filing tray with several shelves from a charity shop cost me a few quid, its next to my working area I use it to put my wet projects on when doing multiples it wipes clean i then can make a lot all at once and place them apart to dry.😮
Wow, great video! You showed so many ideas for backgrounds, dies, embossing, and such cute finished cards! Thank you for taking us along as you create.
Your "letterpress" worked way better that the actual one. I've watched a lot of videos with it and the impression is not all that noticeable. Good Job Marion :)
Pinterest and You Tube will be your best friends for ideas, warning though, you’ll get lost for hours 😂😂😂 Or do what I do and just plonk some stuff in front of you and start playing, if it doesn’t work out, it’s just a piece of card 😍😍😍
I almost never come up with an idea and execute it. I make things in batches, like backgrounds, die cutting and assembling shapes, stamping and cutting out images, fussy cutting sentiments etc. Or die cutting certain words from alphabet dies. Then I make a big old mess and play around with all of it! Sometimes I make a single card in a week and other times I finish 10 cards in a day because I've made so many little elements that then all work together perfectly.
Lady... I sure wish you would stop doing these videos. It is difficult enough to get through my day without deeking into my studio to try YET ANOTHER brilliant idea that you share > No REALLY - I get NOTHING done if I even watch one video of yours because one leads to the other which leads to the other and next thing I know - yah.. I have a million and a half cards on my desk all brilliant in design ALL BECAUSE OF YOU !! Love yah !! Thanks for taking the time to teach us and thanks for your humour and side trips during your teaching when another idea pops into your head. THANKS A LOT. lololololol xxxxxxx You are a rock star ( the non druggy kind ) CATHERINE
W(✷‿✷)W Those "simple" cards so beautiful and amazing 🤩🤩 Love them. 🧡🧡 I don't have the Embossing//Cutting Machine..... maybe with something else I could make those cutting paper 🤔🤔 My FavCard is the one with the 🩷🩷🩷🩷 and "I miss you". 😊😊
Hi Penny, unfortunately, I’ve never found it here, hence I buy it from scrap book com every time I purchase from them. They really offer excellent shipping rates, I’ve never paid customs (yet) I’ve just done an order with them for $120 and the shipping was $7.99 and I got a free gift… I love them, that’s why I always recommend them. If you fancy giving them a go, the products I use from them are listed in the video description where it says ‘show more’ just click on one of there ones (SBC) and it’ll take you there. So glad you enjoy the videos 🥰🥰
I love both sets I bought of those Altenew dies. But it’s been the most difficult year of my life and I can’t get to them or many of my new products. I did stock my supplies heavily all in 2 years and I just don’t have the time being doubly disabled and alone, to have time to make cards. It’s killing me working like a man all the time. I long to have time to use my great supplies.
@@marionemberson thank you Marion. I’ve been working pretty hard. Trimming 4 spruce trees that are 12’ wide at the bottom. Then pruned out all the underneath branches on a crabapple I had trimmed but it wasn’t flat enough on the bottom. Filled a full can with 1 foot pieces I chopped up. Mowed day before yesterday, it was so hot! Humid too. I barely made it in. Yesterday had to do my nails and just finished polishing them and it 1:45 am! I cut down again on 3 meds this week so that’s probably going to be tough. But God is helping me. Thank you! I miss you!
@@marionemberson you’re so cute! This is how hard I work everyday. The next day I went to make as close to perfectly straight the bottom of a crab apple tree. Thought it would be just a few snips with hand shears. Of course not even though I paid to have the 2 ornamental trees trimmed, they just reshape them. So I had to drag out 100ft cord and electric trimmers and trim above my head underneath the tree. Well it wasn’t as flat because there’s tons of branches growing from one side through to the other, branches growing straight down, etc. it had not been pruned out since years before when I did it! I chopped every branch into foot long pieces and filled a large garbage can! This is normal work for me. But today I had to come to a stop. I’m on such low doses of medication as I continue and near finishing tapering off my pain meds, I can barely walk. I did as much of the heavy work while still getting some help from the meds, but that is no more. And there’s much I wish I could tell you. You were like a friend to me. It’s very sad what was done to me, illegally. But that’s for an email. I’ve tried to work on the Christmas cards I started but never finished last year. But it takes great discipline as I’m not well and in pain.
