The ump said that Harper swung his bat all the way across home plate, which was plane as day that Harper held up, did not swing, and his bat did not cross the plate. This ump clearly screwed the pooch on this one, and needs to be reprimanded for bad officiating.

@@PhukYoo-ml2pw So basically what happened was that pitch was a ball. And Harper knew it too and went to take his base. And the umpire at third base is Angel Hernandez who is nutritious forgetting calls incorrect. When you swing at a pitch in but the bat doesn’t cross the plate enough, that is called a check swing. Clearly Harper did not come close to a swing and the umpire was wrong. Even the announcers knew the call was wrong. And too me it looked like Harper said, “Are you kidding me? That’s horrible, that’s f ucking horrible.” So that is basically what happened.

Braves won yesterday by only one run in extra innings because of a bad call against them. What was CLEARLY a foul ball was called a passed ball and allowed the Cubs to score a run . Luckily for the Braves they overcame and won , and the extra innings allowed Acuna to steal his 70th base on the season , to become the only player EVER to hit 40 HRs and steal 70 bases in a season .

Youd never watch a game again if the managers had the freedom to review ANY PLAY THEY WANT. I can tell by that statement alone you don’t watch many games.

actually yes.......he sued MLB claiming R-word was why he didnt get to ump any world series games. He lost that suit because MLB came with receipts that he just sucks at his job........and yet Angel still works for the people he sued. Its so stupid.

There’s nothing explicitly stated in the MLB rules about check swings but if you take the NCAA rules and apply them he fails all four tests. (1) Did the batter make an attempt to hit/bunt/slap the pitch? Yes (2) Was the barrel of the bat out in front of the front hip? Yes (3) Did the batter roll the wrists? Yes (4) Did the batter swing through the ball and bring the bat back or draw the bat back before the pitch arrived? No because pitch arrives before batter tries to draw back.

Because then he ends up being ejected. That’s the truth about umpires.

jim joyce ruined a perfect game with a terrible call and took the screaming of players and manager like a man - and has to live with it - other umpires just too weak to admit they wrong and take it like a man
