I'm new to the channel. I've been a fan of the series (mostly the 1st, 3rd and 4th seasons) since 1999 during my Junior high school days and still am a fan to this day. I absolutely enjoyed all your videos analyzing the first Digimon season, especially episode 21 (the writing, characters, concepts and other details we didn't comprehend as kids). I'm truly looking forward to your videos analyzing "Tamers". It's the season that took things to an unexpected level that would have been considered "too frightening" and "too complex" for a kid's show to be back in the day and was quite fortunate to not have been canceled in the US. lol Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Devas, Beelzemon, the D-Reaper and Jeri's character regarding her situation in the last arc. Masako Nozowa (JP VA for Son Goku of the Dragon Ball franchise) was the perfect choice to voice Guilmon. Guilmon is much like Goku himself in a way: A naive child who has destructive potential and powers. But they grow from their experiences with their friends. And while they still are childish in a way, they also become warriors that stand against the forces of evil. With every form Guilmon takes, Nozawa’s voice eventually matches adult Goku when he gets serious. And she reprised her role as Gallantmon in Savers/Data Squad despite that Gallantmon being more antagonistic. 14:22 Despite that, Guilmon’s personality is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Takato was expecting. If Guilmon was ultimately the “gritty” version of Agumon, you would think that Guilmon would be like Guts from Berserk. Guts is from the Darker Seinen series compared to a normal Shonen anime. But again, Guilmon comes out as being this baby Digimon that is immature and has to be mentally developed.
