Brother I've ask you question today love this video came out 2 hr later this is exact job Im doing rn thank you brother I'm 3rd year apprentice making that first step on my own I appreciate 🙏 everything you do brother 🙏
Awesome video, beautiful work. One thing that helped me when removing clips in risky locations is grasp the clip with a pair of vise grips semi tight then gently tap the clip with a rubber mallet. Thank you again!
This is top notch work, man. The clown 'master' tilers in my city would never be able to do this. They don't even use a rasp to finish cut edges - they use a grinder at best.
Hello mate just to start off you are great guy very professional have the right tools for the job and i love your content here and on tiktok and this job is just perfect I do tiling with my father in law and i have a tip for you if you care to listen When doing the cuts from the drainage towards the corner of the tile don’t do the cut on the tip of tile corners end I suggest going a little bit off to the right or a little bit maybe 1 cm to the left depending where will you be installing the tile We do this so when you tile the wall you don’t cover that perfect corner if it makes any sense try it yourself Because with the way you have done it once you put or install the wall tiles you will the cut of those corners is gonna be off a little bit because the wall tile have covered If interested check and let me know You have a good one champ And hope you best of luck
Nice to see a center drain curbless. I am building my house in the spring and my flooring store was trying to convince me that only linear drains can be barrier free.
If you use schluter, you can do any drain placement with a curb less entry. There are videos on youtube explaining how to drop the shower floor to meet the rest of the bathroom floor. Schluter has a youtube page that should have it.
@@mattjudy6780 oh I know. I am just going to raise the floor to meet the base thought a 5/8 subfloor then sutra heat brings me flush to the substrate. Just boggles my mind that this flooring place is trying to tell me there’s one way .. when I know there are multiple
@@danbedard290 but it's going to cost more to raise the rest of your bathroom instead of just lowering the shower floor. And it will also cause you to have a hump going into your bathroom as the rest of your house will sit lower. Just some things to think about. Cheers mate
@@mattjudy6780 thanks man. I was actually playing around with some details and what it looks like I going to do because my tray is 1 1/4” thick, I’m going to use the schluter ramp, which is also 1 1/4” and terminates flush with the schluter heat. I’m going to be installing and drip dry drain at the base of the ramp as it will be the towel areas. I’m a plumber by trade, so the extra drain was going in anyway lol
@@WINNI.Designs No prob! They are very much simple enough to follow once you articulate clearly and are thorough it'll be fine. I'm enjoying all your projects and I learn alot!
@WINNI tell me about making videos brother. Been there, done that.😉 I just sealed a deal for a bathroom and changed the costumer's mind from wanting Schluter to going with KBRS and Im pretty sure they will be more than pleased with how it turns out. But I'm not starting the bathroom if not until they come back from Vacations.. another month.😅
can you do a video on waterproofing the floor prior to installing the floor tile? i work with kerdi foam kits and wanna try this as i believe i have the skill thanks! great content btw keep it up
It`s the best tutorial! Can you tell whether we have to maintain a gap around the square waste or fit tiles as close as it`s possible, please? Should we use a grout compound or a silicone for filling gap in between the drain and tiles? Also, I can`t understand how to use tile levelling system, because it`s designed for flat surfaces, but the shower floor has four sides fall... Can we avoid this, or use a sticky tape instead? Thank you
Cool video.. and nice to see you show the trick, using the oscillating tool to undercut the previously laid tile. Makes using the levelers possible. Did you get that from Sal Diblasi? :)
Great video. As a contractor I would never recommend using large tiles on the shower floor. Large porcelain tiles are just too slippery. It looks great but like many things out there , it's not safe or practical.
Will a glass shower door be installed outside of the foam sloped pan? Should you avoid drilling through the sloped area for glass door installation? How do you get the shower tile lined up with the outside shower tile to be exactly even?
Do you have a video with large format tiles, curbless shower with linear drain? I'm a contractor and I've been asked to do this type of project and we're scratching our heads here.
Your videos are so fun to watch man! Thanks so much! If I can ask a question, how would you interface a curbless shower (tile) to LVP in the main floor? Thoughts?
I've seen a number of people say these large format tiles are slippery. I realize that the relief cuts give some grip, but can you also comment on the type / finish that works best?
2 mins in, yes,I always give the homeowner EVERY option of tile layout and explain the cuts.Let them choose and offer my opinion as to what's best for those who have no clue...Even and especially when a designer has ridiculous layouts on the prints because it's the customer that has to see it daily.also designers suck.Clueless.What may be a good mental I age may NOT actually work structurally or mathematically with tile.,
