Youngest granddaughter is in final term of 2nd Degree ABSN course 2020 at University of Houston. Her 12 month course was reduced to 11 months due to Covid. She has 9 tests in the following 6 days. Starting tomorrow July 27, 2020. Right now she has a 4.0 GPA. That program had 100% NCLEX PASS 2017, 2018 and 2019. Hope its 4 in a row!
So far she got an average score on the ATI and two A’s with three more results to learn. Some of her tests were combined. Just about all course work is over with next three months devoted to clinicals which they did not do earlier due to Covid19. Clinicals and NCLEX studying.

Granddaughter is in the U of Houston ABSN class of 2020. Grad date 12/18/2020. She really did her homework as she was accepted into five nursing schools and chose Houston as it was the shortest and reportedly the best. 100% passed NCLEX 2017, 2018 and 2019. She said, “They are really proud of that record”. Hope it holds true for 2020!
Nice! Baylor is a prestigious university. Any questions you may have I’d be glad to help or it may even be inspiration for us to create a video directed at the topic! You can shoot us a message on our Facebook page :)
Hello Nnamdi, pls I'm trying to apply for same program at Baylor, please and please can u send me an email. I need guidance in going about it pls. Thanks. My email address is okoronkwonelly@yahoo.com . Thanks
Don’t u get your BSN in nursing school during your last 2 yrs of college? because you mentioned something about having a BSN before going into nursing school for Texas a&m university, I’m just trying to understand a lot of this because I’m currently a 2nd year student at HCC, I’m a nursing major going for my BSN and I’m in the process of finishing up my pre reqs in order to start applying for the hesi exams in different schools and their nursing programs, so I’m just trying to understand and make sure I’m following the right path.
For those watching now in 2019, the University of Houston will be offering the traditional BSN route in FALL of 2019, for those that do not have a degree yet or it's your first time in college. You would complete your freshman and sophomore years at University of Houston and once getting admitted to the Nursing program, your junior and senior years will be taught at University of Houston Katy, which is currently being built and will be ready in Fall 2019
My granddaughter already holding a BS Cum Laude in History from Texas A & M didall science at Blinn and applied for accelecrated nursing at Houston, Texas,Texas A & M, UT Arlington and one other college. She was accepted to all and just bought scrubbs, lab coats for 11 month 8 day program at U of H i. Sugarland. She starts Jan 2020. She was married Nov 2 and new husband works in Cypress, but will move to Sugarland to make it easier for our granddaughter.
@@maddy_tayl0r611 I've heard from my friends and coworkers that it's real tough to get in, some have applied more than 2 times and still get waitlisted. And some retake classes and TEAS to get better grades/scores. For credentials, I joined a few clubs/ organizations during my basics, and did volunteering. I worked as a licensed CNA and with that comes CPR and BLS certifications. I basically just put everything I had going on in my application to show I can manage my time efficiently while maintaining good grades etc. Hope this helps!
@@mariaaubrey3617 I have a question as well (BTW congrats on getting in!). UTSA is actually the exact school I want to go to. So my pre-req gpa is about a 3.6-3.7 (Overall is a 3.3, Math/Science is a 3.2) but I have a C in microbio. Should I retake that class anyway? Also Im graduating in August with a BS in Biology and I plan on trying to work as a Direct Support Specialist or a Med Tech for a year before I apply, do you think thats a good plan?
@@dante321100 Thanks! I also had C's in my pre-reqs, 2 in fact. I didn't retake those classes because honestly, I was just done with chem classes lollll. But besides that, all my other classes were mostly A's and then B's. I can't exactly tell you if you should retake micro or not because they will look at your application holistically (extracurriculars, volunteer hours, work, etc). Working as either one of those will give you experience and idea on how it is to work in the medical field and that will definitely look good on your application. Also, congrats for graduating!
Filiberto Gutierrez my granddaughter graduated Texas A&M Cum laude. She chose University of Houston, but also was accepted to nursing school at TAM. Their program is 16 months, but Houston is 12 months.
My daughter is looking for somewhere to get a BSN, she just got a degree in Health Admin. It would be nice if she can get into an accelerated program. What do u suggest?
Michelle Deleon tuition is $20,000 in total. As far as the requirements go, you can find them on the their website! (Too much to write in a comment lol)

Granddaughter will graduate U of Houston ABSN Friday 18 Dec 2020 SUMMA CUM LAUDE! She graduated with highest undergraduate GPA.100% pass rate 2017, 18, 19 and I hope that holds true for 2020.
