🚨 Simmers raise concerns as New Kits Leaks, EA App Removing DLC, Road Map Speculation & More ! 

The audacity to make a kit for restaurants without actually bothering to fix Dine Out is just beyond the pale. Also, as a console player who keeps getting ignored in the majority of the kit giveaways, they aren't getting monetary support from me as long as we are the most ignored set of players still.

There's no motivation for them to fix or rebrand. They don't care.

Thanks for the feedback Yin, Good stuff as always! I just don’t understand how EA continuously gets away with selling nonfunctional game packs. Can you imagine the uproar if a Madden NFL Football game had glitches in the game to this magnitude. It’s ridiculous how the Sims Community is being treated and it’s not going to be fixed until their money is compromised by competition and their ego!

Ea should fix the app

I feel like Kits are sims 4 version of the sims 3 store items...like we really dont need all of them but its just extra content to add to what we already have.

Riviera Retreat - is there a regular diving board? Probably not. I don't need another pool float or lounge chair. I won't believe that rock waterfall is a BB item until I see a review. Bistro??? I've been building those since Dine Out was released! These kits are basically an extension of existing content. They're rarely new or innovative. I think that EA is making us responsible for our own content because if we don't like it, we can download cc. I see this in swatches - 3 shades of beige and two of muted blue, and a brown. Or a white, a light grey, a medium grey, dark grey ... you see where I'm going? Some of the palettes are so limited and boring, some of the content is simply recolours. Don't get me wrong, I love the new free swimwear swatch update but hopefully everyone is realising that those meshes are base game shirts. They're pretty, but only a couple are really bathing suits to me. That leads me back around to pool slides and diving boards. Why tf is Maxis/EA so dead set against expanding pool gameplay options??? Why not make an entire EP that focuses on pool fun? Slides, diving boards, Marco Polo, pool volleyball, etc??? We should have beach volleyball by now! We're missing so many games and interactions!!! I haven't bought anything since the goth and castle kits. I might be interested in Crystal Creations but that's only because I think it has some right hand rings. Why have they never given us more right hand rings for base game??? It's these little things that make it frustrating. I'm saving my cash until I read more reviews. So far, nothing has really jumped out at me. After the For Rent fiasco, I'm not sure I want to spend money on EA. I might save my $$ up for inZoi.

I think the leaks are kind of intentional to improve their marketing strategies in the official release. Also these leaks came always close to the release, so I think they don't bother with that at all

More useless kits not buying them

If they release some kits for free and that actually work I would possibly get them but I'm not paying $100 for a bunch of kits. The Sims 4 Team are just money hungry who do not care about their players. If we all do not buy the kits and say we won't get them maybe it will have a big enough impact that they don't make them anymore.

I am having issues in build mode! The terrain paint tool barely works anymore. TS4 is such a waste. I can't wait until there are more life simulation games on the market. Also, I think EA is going to go out of business sometime in the near future. They are going to start putting ads in their new releases. This means that whatever they do in the future with the sims will have a sh@t ton of ads that will get in the way of gameplay.

They put an announcement out today, apparently there’s a separate team working on fixing the game releasing updates every 2 months for all content

The Sims 4 announced today that they will be making a massive amount of bug fixes and core game performance improvements. For those of you who did not hear about it yet. They already released an extensive laundry list of bug fixes that people actually asked for that will be released this month. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but maybe, just maybe, they plan to do more extensive bug/performance fixes for some of the buggiest packs, too. If so, and Dine Out was one of the refreshes, then it would make more sense as to why they released the Bistro Kit.

I'm just gonna put TS4 in a retirement home and wait for it to die so I can claim my part of the will asap.

Get Together, Discover University, Seasons, and City Living. I've had a great time with those two packs. The cafes work for my gameplay. I legitimately dont like the restaurants in Sims 4 because of how broken the experience is. I really wish that Seasons brought back the seasonal festivals from Sims 3. I've had the time of my life building theme parks for Sims 3.

They are stealing items from the pack? This why I want discs back. I also don’t think you need to be online. Sims is solo play.

I love leaks, they don't harm us players. I still remember when you RU-vidrs would publish videos excited about some leak and you would try to figure out what it wanted to tell us and you wouldn't criticize it. I don't know what has changed, but if you don't want to give them, don't give them, let other RU-vidrs give them to us who have fun with us, because if you are going to get bored and prissy like EA, you are no longer part of the people.

I will never purchase a kit when theres free cc for pc players. Its like they completely forgot about stuff packs

I had the issue with packs missing from the ea app a couple days ago. It fixed itself for me somehow after a day. I did all the same stuff as the commenter but they were still missing then I tried to play again the next day and they’re all back. The EA app admins did respond to another QHQ post about it and basically said to do the same stuff- cache, restart game and pc, etc then said it was resolved. If anyone else is still having it the only other thing I can think of that I did was turn off mods, exit, then restart the game and turn mod on again. But again that didn’t work same day so I dunno 🤷

I want a free time type of kit. Like introduce small mechanics that are hobbies or more crafty things rather than items. Maybe new skills too. Idk. We haven’t had gameplay kits in since what, bite the dust?

This roadmap makes me incredibly sad...this first look at these kits tell me all i need to know about lackluster it going to be. I just love how clueless EA pretends to be, hey guys look a bistro kit and ignore that broken abandoned Dine Out. No new slide or more than 1 pool trim...they could have just combined these two kits into 1 and it still would not be worth it.

I heard there are rumors about the dlc being about romance and having sims 2 level romance, I hope not tht will destroy them, because they are putting something tht should be gameplay behind a play wall

Just don't buy kits. That is the best thing the sims community can do.

At this point, I really don't understand what people get excited about. There's NOTHING in those kits. They should have AT LEAST 50 to 60 new items that gon' actually bring something to the game. But these micro transactions are getting really ridiculous. I need them to focus on these packs refreshes ASAP, cause the one they did with spa day was amazing and definitely brought more gameplay. Like, they can do that for sticking with them for so long and still keeping this game alive.

The Sims 4 doesn't need rebranding, it needs to be put out to pasture, I love the game, I really do. But since 2023 I have decided enough is enough, the game is too buggy and EA's too greedy to bother listening and realizing that their game needs fixing before releasing another pack.

Let's take it back to the days when The Sims team gave two ______ about what they were putting out! You mean Sims 2?

They are fixing Dine Out and specific bugs in a lot of Packs. They put together a team to fix bugs, it was announced today, after this video went up. They're adding a Waffles option for the Chef's Waffle Grill for the Dine Out pack, which is weird, it's a waffle grill that doesn't make waffles.

The werewolf pack is to me the one that they did their best work on. From the lore to the gameplay. It's unfortunate that a lot of people hate occult gameplay tho

Why won't any of these damn companies make a life sim with a more M rated gameplay? I don't necessarily want to see full on nudity or murders, i just want regular normal content because they seem to use kids as an excuse for making these games watered down and infantilized.... I hate how they call liquor nectar among other things. It removes the emersion. And specifically, i mean a Asian gaming company. I give up on western game companies they all suck.
