I SWORE the little lemonade/punch stand was going to be a small functional bar like the globe we got with "Vintage Glamor" (I think that's the name of the pack). And your bump is so cute, congrats to you and your family.

I posted this before, but. Honestly. If this kit had all Afro inspired HAIRSYTLES kit only, no clothes. I would buy in an instant. And so would many others that don't have access to CC. This was a missed opportunity, especially since Ebonix hairstyles be 🥶!! Still congrats on the collab once again!!! Have a safe pregnancy! ✨️

@@leaf_ie it's true they would be sealing diversity. They are already doing that with packs/expansions anyways, which will never make it right, but at this point it is what it is. This kit is already sealing diversity as is behind a paywall, so might as well give us what we want. Afro hairstyles kit would have been 🔥 by Ebonix

Growing up in the 2000s in a very diverse area, I was exposed to a lot of African American fashion. I feel like this is pulling from the 90s (and 2000s of course) but I think there were some missed opportunities. Literally *anything* from Dickies was very popular, with the oversized t-shirts and baggy shorts. More denim/leather tops would have been interesting (mainly jackets) pulling from these same decades, even a basketball jersey would have been cool too. There is a lot of Latin American fashion that could have been in this kit as well, although it seems like EA did not focus on that culture in this DLC in particular. It's a hard pass on the party kit, but at least there were a couple interesting objects that could have been in a free update/refresh. Also, I'm totally late on this, but congrats Yin!! 😀

I think kits are actually refreshes, but EA decided to make them into kits because money is more important. If they made quality content, simmers would be less discontent buying their products.🤷🏾‍♀️ But anywho, congratulations on your baby and I hope you have a safe, comfortable, and peaceful journey.🎉

The fog machine reuses the get together pool steam and get together comes with all the party lights and dance floor. You can shrink the steam grates and the steam stays the same size, and you get better party lighting. There I saved you 5 bucks.

I really wish the kit had hairstyles too, it would have been a great opportunity to have maxis match versions of her hairs. I might get the kit eventually though, mostly to support Ebonix. The Party Essentials one looks pretty useless to me on the other hand lmao. Thanks for your review, and congratulations on your pregnancy!!!

Oh man having the denim stuff - especially the skirt - converted down for kids would represent so much of my childhood wardrobe. I don't understand why they didn't do that.

Men should've gotten french braids for the hair in different styles. But they could've did way more. Dreads, more masculine clothing. Bomber jackets, new hats.

I do like the disco ball, the stereo, the dance floor and the speaker from Party Essentials but I really liked Urban Homage and I did buy that one. My favorite is the sports jersey. Great video, Yin!

Congratulations. The party kit is sad, and yes should have been a refresh. The homage kit is fine, but of course lacks masculine clothing, accessories, and hair.

I wish we had more make up options including ones that look cute on darker skin complexions as they do on light skin/white/pale skin tones. Overall I did like the urban homage kit especially the nails and the jewelry options, no real complaints for me. The party kit is a mess

Animal crossing's balloons use more polygons o.0 A game with cartoon animals set in a chibi art style uses more details than sims 4..... That's crazy.

And for the urban homage kit is amazing! That’s exactly how I wear my head wrap and I have a. Dashiki too so am excited to see it in game and the boots I had those as a teen lol

Ahhh congratulations Yin!! I'm so happy for you! I loved watching your review and reaction to Urban Homage. Definitely wish there was more stuff for men but that's normal at this point. I love what's in the kit though and I loved learning about all the new articles of clothing! I couldn't care less about Party Essentials it felt like Luxury Party rejects and that stuff pack is small enough as it is lol!

I love the Urban Homage kit, This is a History Representation for our culture. The Dashiki has been a great part of that. I don't really care for the party kit. I purchased the Urban homage, and I'm glad Ebonix represented. The Sims team keeps limiting the unimaginable possibilities of this game.🎉 🎉🎉🎉

The fact that I didn’t even think about it, but if luxury party got a refresh and they added all of these to it people would actually buy that pack. I have luxury party only for the buffet table. Everything else is trash and if they add this, so there’s an actual dance floor and a fog machine, the pack would be worth it

LilSimsie tested it with no packs installed and it works. You can dance if there's music playing.

Urban Homage kit was dope, definitely had to get it for the accessories and head wrap and attire. I took one look at the party essentials kit and knew it was gonna be a hard pass

congrats on the pregnancy yin! ❤ i think the blockyness of the balloons is result of the sims team wanting them to be compatible with low end systems, because a rounder shape (higher polygon count) demands more from your graphics card. they look absolutely atrocious though 😭 the fog machine is probably the only thing i'd pay for because it's something that i haven't seen modders capable of implementing, but since it's still simply a decoration and not something your sim can actually interact with, the kit is not worth the money for me. same goes for the urban kit - good for ebonix, i hope she got/gets paid well! but i'm probably going to prefer downloading her "unofficial" cc since she gets to use 100% of her creativity. like her hair cc is soooo gorgeous, it's a shame the urban kit didn't come with any 😞

Can't lie, I swore off spending any more at EA, but I bought the urban kit for the nostalgia of it all. I know it would've required them to do a new mesh, but I really wish that the shirts and dashiki were just a little bit longer. And I love the bamboo earrings: I used to have a pair. They were heavy as all h*ll (my piercing itches just looking at my sim wearing them), but I loved those earrings.

Looking at those objects... And I already have similar objects from CCs that are of better quality. Bonus : Most are functional, not just filler clutter. The mesh resolution of those balloons when seen close up is unacceptable. The mesh for LOD0 (close view) is not at the level of a LOD2 (far viewing), and barely adequate for LOD3 (farthest viewing)🤦🏾 Graffiti T-shirt... For me, that's OLD stuff. I had a graffiti T-shirt back in the early 1980's. Those patched pants are so 1960's.

Party Essentials kit: 3. - I literally would use the tv and the record player and thats it - If i didnt buy it i wouldnt miss out on anything - Should have been in highschool years (prom), Get together (clubs) or a refresh or vintage glamor Urban Homage: 6 - Love the representation but they could have done a bit more for men and children

Here are my opinions on the new kits, as I said in a previous video I am 100% getting Urban homage, as for Party essentials I will wait until modders fix the kit, so to any modders who see this you have my faith, also congrats Yin on your pregnancy.
