He' spooked. 5:19 You see that little stop right there? IT'S FEAR. 5:47 THE FIGHT. 6:39 THE KO. 6:50 Poirier's head clatters off the canvas.
His destruction of porier in this is prime McGregor, his mental awareness was on another level, when he's in bed discussing Dustin's emotions clouding his vision and the comparing that to the in-fight situation is just pure genius
@@H18698 Make no mistake, he's afraid. He's a scared little boy...and panic is setting in. And that is that. Your comment put him stiff. Now carry on your journey.
@@lanet.2934 he was in a way in mental warfare in the game. There's a reason why the ufc community would call him "Mystic mac" because he predicts these things 👁️
Y’all don’t give Conor enough credit. He was more than a fighter. He was a true martial artist. Combat not only with the hands but with the mind with this hyperability to read his opponents both psychologically and mentally in such great depth which he later uses to his advantage inside the cage. Love him or hate him, he was brilliant and we ain’t going to see anyone like him.. probably never again.
You can hate him or love him but he is one of the reasons why this sport become so popular and the other fighters have to respect him coz befor him they where killing each others for peanuts.
Let’s not forget about the time Conor said Floyd’s head looked like a cocoa puff that one time before they fought, unfortunately cocoa puff ended up whooping is ass all over that ring
@Young Offenders Khabib owns Conor.... Look at the way Conor looks up at Khabib after tapping.... Like Conor said "It shows in their eyes" and he couldn't hide it.
Conor 100% had more significant strikes to the head AND body, he WAS winning the fight just on damaging strikes alone. Not knowing how to check low leg kicks was the beginning of the end. Can't circle away from Poirier against the fence on a dead leg. Fan of both, but McGregor was definitely smacking Poirier up a bit in the first and early second, though not without Poirier usually countering.
@Nuffsed nah dustins main focus was on the calf kicks in the first round so it wasn't a sudden upset but rather a good game plan paying off. the first round leg kicks made it so that conor couldn't put any weight on his front leg which allowed dustin to pressure him into the back of the cage where he started to flood mcgregor with punches. dustin even took conors left hand and kept fighting due to that added endurance of 10 pounds. dustin was just the better fighter and had the better gameplan so I believe he wins this fight in every single timeline. TL;DR: dustin simply outclasses conor.
This video is a good example of why Conor has fallen, both in this fight and Aldo for example he talks about not being angry and that they are all blank faces and so on. Last fight vs Dustin, he was so angry that he couldn't even contain himself and tried to attack Dustin before the fight even started. The roles are pretty much reversed, and this is Conors biggest weakness now.
Im a Mcgregor fan, but he got is ass whooped, but i think he needs to get into there head, thats why he wins, he mentally breaks someone, manipulates there mind into doing what he says, think about it, you see them get in there and he keeps running his mouth they over react and he sleeps them, and he also is getting old lol, but good fight for dustin last night much respect
Lets go!! So happy you released these new videos. Dude i'm telling you, I've watched your videos so many times over and over and over again. I'm so thankful for these new videos that you released!
Idk about now hes not doing too good lol. Mentally and physically hes going down. Sad to see it happen. I liked him when he was like this all business. But the first and last straw for me was when he socked the old man. And its only been gettin worse since.
When Conor didn’t need to talk crap about people’s family because he knew his talk was getting to people and he was hungry and confident, that’s when he was his best
"Business is never personal"... who else here after the trilogy? Conor's mindset is changing constantly. Lot of pressure on him, as he wished back in those days, but now he struggles with that
@@domtoretto4657 He was in the best shape of his life for the second Poirier fight, he actively took measures to train far longer with greater discipline for the 2nd Poirier fight, and he still go knocked the fuck out. People attempt, in vain, to undermine the second fight with Poirier by appealing to how Conor wasn't entirely there. The same people making these types of excuses, people like you by the way, probably overlook the fact that Poirier, in their first fight, was heavily drained by the weight cut, mentally checked out due to the incessitant trash talk and fighting emotionally. If anyone had it worse, it was Poirier. Their second fight was the most fair competition, both men came in great shape and a lot of the weaknesses that Poirier experienced were alleviated, and Conor lost.
@@domtoretto4657 Even if that was true, however much that diverges from your initial claim, it still wouldn't bear the significance that you think it does. There isn't a tremendous discrepancy, the guy who fought Poirier wasn't astronomically different than the guy who fought Alvarez. In fact, according to Conor's own view, Conor was better than the version of himself when he fought Alvarez (I can give you a link to an article which screen captured Conor's tweet). Regardless, he lost to the better fighter, a version of Dustin that wasn't drained and mentally fatigued by Conor's antics.
@@haraldarrow5046 listen here kid. I am in no way stating that prime mcgegor would beat prime dustin becuz that just isnt true(at 155lb). Im saying that in my relatively educated opinion conor is no longer as good as he used to be . I am also very aroused by your excellent use of the english language😏
Like Dustin used more strategy 1/23/21 . Last night . He knew sort of what everything felt like from last fight only he made alot of improvements for the fight last night . Corrn or seemed more humble.
Ironically, Conor said 7 yrs ago that Dustin´s chin was deteriorating, and 7 yrs later it looked like Dustin´s chin has became stronger, and Conor´s chin was the one who betrayed him against Poirier in the rematch, well that and his horrible static boxing guard and non existent footwork who made him an easy target for Dustin to go full Israel Adesanya on him 😂👏👏
@@theboltthrower8661 Exactly, just because you beat a guy in the first fight doesn't mean you'll be fighting the same one in a rematch, Conor underestimated how much Dustin had improved and payed for it.
I still remember seeing that hotel lobby interaction between Dustin and Conor before the fight and saying to myself, “Dustin already lost.” He got cremated in the mental warfare battle with Conor.
Look at this Conor man and see how different it is now. This version is incredibly confident, witty, relaxed. No wonder he lost the second fight he is nothing like this anymore.
