#psu #powersupply #linearpowersupply In this video I will do a full build and reviewing if £4 power supply board worth it or not here the link from where you can purchase the board www.aliexpress.com/item/32686... Thanks for watching !
I have just got one of these kits, 09-2022, bit more expencive.. i am useing a 24V toroudle transformer... some of the resistors seem a bit out of +- but hey will see.. good vid.. Dave UK.
I really like the tool you use to make the bend/indentation on those resistors. Could you tell what model number that tool is? I see it's made by Medentra, but I can't find that specific plier.
Here the link from where I get it www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Orthodontic-Pliers-Ortho-Dental-Tool-Kit-Bracket-Gauge-Scaler-Cravers-Bite-Stick-/223605434129?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
Hope you believe me when I say I appreciate the effort you put in making this video but it is made for others with same level of understanding as yourself, well I'm a novice who is looking for a video on how to connect a volt/amp meter to this DIY power supply, at 9:03 I looked at how your V/A meter was connected but you had too many objects on your desk, could not follow the actual wires that go to the V/A display, so basically I 'm not better off watching this to the end to learn something, I wish you showed how you wired the V/A display on its own without other distractions.
If you click on about tab you will find an email address, and please send me an email and photos which volt amper you would like to connect to this board and I will send you a full diagram in how to connect! Thanks for your comment!
@@SymbolTech21 Thank you for your genuine offer to help, I might take you up on that but I'm in the process of finding the right connection on my own, I learn better this way but if I get stuck, I'll contact you, god bless you my friend.
I didn't do this test but I will try to do this test and I think will do because have current limit control so if will go in short will trigger the current limiter
Hi there, If your transformer could output 19v AC then you should have been able to get around 24V DC on the PSU output, you only got 14V DC. Did you figure out the problem?
@@SymbolTech21I would like to see it get 30V output. The board you use is not capable and many other videos show that board and can not get above 24V output. The original Hiland does output 0-30V Make short video showing 30V output please...?
So there is tin wires red yellow and black and tick wires red and black. The tin wires red will be connected to the voltage regulator that supply the voltage for the fan on the positive side and tin black goes to negative. The yellow will be connected to the output positive and the tick wires goes connected in series with the load
@@janoldislow5021 will blow up the transistor that handle the amps. If you check through my videos you will find a very easy short protection circuit and on off output
I bought two of these bt psu boards and its not very good. 3A ? I couldn't get 3A out of mine. IiRC it wont get to 30V either. Apparently these counterfeit Hiland Boards seem to be an abomination of the original genuine Hiland boards which I built a many of these. (Fake 0-28V 2A.) The original Hiland regulated psu were apparently pretty good for the price but these no. Still they're an interesting build unfortunately they're not the original Hiland boards.
That is for sure not original, are Chinese boards but maybe you should check if you put all together how should because the board I built is working perfect to me!
