+Mustard Tiger Thanks buddy! ...it ran a 10.83 quarter mile a few weeks ago with a 25 - 35 mph head wind and spinning all fours off the line :) With better conditions and 4 drag slicks, I bet she'll do close to 10.5's
wade mckenney That video was just after I had a 4L80e trans. installed and Circle D converter in preparation for the supercharger, cam etc. Just after this vid, it ran a 14.2 quarter mile. The sacrifice with swapping to the 80e is it was a total dog outta the hole, but mid and top end were much improved over the 60. Here's a link a few months later after the supercharger and cam were installed where it ran a 12.00 at the trackru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cmvkEalYO1A.html
Yes. All of that makes much of diferrence. Exhaust sound. Headers uuffff.. converter i dont know know never seen.. but if a cold air intake even more diference sound tho... sick truck man!!! I have a 2010 sierra denali.. chevy all the way:)
wade mckenney stop saying something is wrong that's how fast they are there not insane fast but they are fast and will get u to top speed. lightning or ramsrt10 will just be insane fast
+DemocracyOfHypocrisy sadly these trucks with the old 6.0 actually make less whp than a new(er) 5.3 will. I was disappointed when I found those numbers.
The 6.0 is the LS2, and for the 2003-2005 era it was only making about 340 hp at the wheel, and about 380 ft/lb of torque. From 2012 forward the 5.3 liter (which isn't an LS, LS1 is the 5.7) makes about 355 hp at the wheel and about 400 ft/lb of torque.
DemocracyOfHypocrisy However, the 6.0 is a very versatile and easy to add power to engine. I have a 2007 Chevy with a 6.0 hand built by GM Performance, hooked up some Borla Headers to full system Borla dual rear exits, with the assistance of a Bully Dog gas engine tuner it is making roughly 460 hp at the wheel and about 500 ft/lb of torque.
+Adam Walters Oh OK, I guess I'm thinking 06-09 which the TB SS 6.0 had 390hp and the Silverado SS had like 365. It's easy to get a ton of power out of the LS line of engines. Did you order yours new from the factory?
Amazin Blasian I had just completed a 4L80e trans swap when I shot that vid. It now runs a 10.83 quarter mile. I have several vids of the progressive mods. Here’s one after the new heads and cam... m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-21XH17LJ6-8.html
I wonder why they didn't also?? I have a 2004 SSAWD When I'm @ 70mph I'm @ round 2300 give or take and it's torquey as hell definitely could use another gear.
@@tobydozier9030 yup gm definitely cheaped out on these things when it came to putting a proper trans in they just went with the good ol 4l65E. They were innovative enough to come up with a good AWD system but then said "good enough" and sent it out
Christian Marron it was pretty lame when I first starting modding. Now it’s a 10 second, 5500 lb beast. This vid is a bit better... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-21XH17LJ6-8.html
