Thanks! Best of luck on it. I have another video from around the same timeframe that shows my tensioner. For me that was the hardest part, to get the tensioner to cross the gap and tension the back half.
If the sidebar is round, it's gen 1 and needs to be picked like a standard pin tumbler but with float picking. If the sidebar is triangular, it's gen 2 and needs is picked the same as the gen 1. If the sidebar is squared, it's gen 3 and need to be picked like Lockedout shows here. If it has a Shlage keyway, It's SC gen 1 and has to be tensioned through the Smartkey bitting change hole.
I did the same thing on the sidebar and destroyed one by bending it trying different tools for tension. I was able to repair it and it's just a practice lock so no huge deal I'm just happy I'm not the only one who did that
I repaired the one I bent, but it kind of clicks now. I was not careful and I think I dinged the side that locks into the sliders, have to check sometime.
