This is a high-level walk through of the features and user interface of Multi Sampler the new virtual instrument included with Waveform 9. More info: www.tracktion....
i like how a key part of every DAW you make behind a paywall & don't tell anyone by including a shitty "smpler" downgraded version of this one that doesn't do shit for the user, thanks so much!
This is a great video on the multi sampler in Waveform. It's extremely powerful and versatile but your breakdown makes it seem like it's simple to harness that power.
I realized my response seemed like I was criticizing. I meant that your explanation was very well done and simplified a tool that has some complexities.
Hi Bill, you mention at the start of the video that we can drag clips directly into the Multi-Sampler, this however does not seem to work for me. Running Waveform-9.3.4 ( beta ) on Linux Mint. thanks
Well I'm still waiting for Tracktion to reply to my question about why the multisampler keeps crashing waveform. I've emailed them with my PC spec and sent screenshots but no reply......
So, is this the tool you would use within Waveform to analyze an analog track in order to determine its tempo, which would then allow you to quantize digital tracks to the analog track?
I found it worth it to pay the $69, if anything, to support the developers of this really great product. Plus you get a whole load of useful extra features. The multi-sampler in this video alone almost makes it worth it.
After slicing a loop there are sometimes audible clicks where there isn't a perfect zero crossing. Is there a way to create small fade ins and outs while still using the one shot mode?
You can find it under Waveform Plugins > Instruments. If you need further help please get in touch with a support agent - tracktion.zendesk.com. Thanks!
@@TracktionSoftware HI. I have the free version of waveform. Under waveform Plugins > Instruments all I see that looks similar is something called 'Sampler' I see no option for multi sampler. I think that multi-sampler may not be offered in the free waveform?
@@daverawlinson1594 Ah yes, Waveform Free only comes with the Micro Drum Sampler. You can find a complete breakdown of the features here - www.tracktion.com/products/waveform-compare-versions
Hi there. Is Using the multi sampler the only way to slice up loops? I've watched your old video on basic Audio editing where you import a loop into a track and manually cut it up with the forward slash key, but is there an automatic method? I have Waveform 12 and it has a remove silence function but thats only half the solution. And whats the point of the Loop Properties window in the Control panel? you can detect Beat/Hit points but then what? how do you chop them up and how do you resize the loop property window to get a large view of the sample? Lastly is there a waveform forum where users can get advice? Thanks!
That's correct. Presets are capable of saving instruments, effects and clip content. This Track Loop tutorial might be of interest ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bxLKtjJVm3U.html
Hahaha, I am an atheist, but now its either: GOOD LOORD or MEAN LEAN DEVIL MACHINE. A third party plugin I like to use is Mrythmizer, since every modulation can be triggered by note. The combination of Waveform multisampler and Mrythmizer, might result in some highly glitch patterns...GGGRRRREEEAAAT...
