I never comment on these videos but I gotta give credit where it’s due and you my man helped me ! Truck randomly shut off on me and I followed all your steps and got it fixed thanks so much!!
2014 Chevrolet Silverado V6 my son drove the truck after the flash engine light was flashing for two days and then the truck shut off and he had it towed. I went and checked the truck out and ran a scan on the truck showed P305 and P 300. I found cylinder one and cylinder three coil packs bad so I changed all the plugs and the wires also they were fouled and very dirty and looked to be original. I checked to make sure that I was getting spark and I was. I tried to start the truck and it would just turn over with no start. I checked the mass airflow sensor and sprayed it out with mass airflow sensor cleaner. I also change the camshaft positioning sensor. Still no start. Any ideas

Nicely done! You are such a good mechanic and very self explained. Thank you for being part of the community. Please keep up your videos posted, because you are needed in every community, including the world. You ate awesome. Thanks so much for your integrity and such self discipline. Great job my friend. God bless.
Our Suburban starts when cold, but cranks like this vehicle when warm. It is in the garage right now, but... when we get it home again, and if they can't fix it, we have learned a ton of things to check. Thank You.
What a great person to explain what you are doing and why and how it works. Thank You for this video. I have learned a ton of stuff from this video. The truck isn't doing what ours is, but the video tells us more things to look for, to try to solve its' problem. I had to subscribe after seeing this video. Thank YOU!!!!!
You are a great teacher and technician. One of the best videos I've seen, your great at explaining your methods of troubleshooting. Keep up the great work you do.
my man, thank you so much. this was easily the best diagnostics video ive seen. a lot of guys leave out what theyve done off camera, or or they will say what they are doing, but not why.. sometimes I over complicate things when it really is just compression fuel spark. hahaha cheers
Thanks for being the greatest mechanic on you tube... I have the same issue crank no start and I had the same hose leaking on my 07 Silverado classic.. keep doing this.
Excellent video. You took us on an amazing troubleshooting journey. This was certainly A1 training material. Step by step reasoning leading to a very logical conclusion. Thank you for the time and energy you devoted to produce this quality video. I enjoyed the special diagnostic tools used as well. Thank you!
Great step by step instructions you explained everything in exact detail very well done this is a common problem on the 4.3 liter engine moisture gets in the cap and roter and wont start thanks for posting
You explained things very well. It was like sitting in a classroom. You mention parts and how they work. Other youtubers jump to straight to things like everyone are experts on here.
This was a great video, showed me step by step how to figure out what was wrong with my 01 Silverado. Thank you so much, it ended up being my coil that I just bought was bad, weird but it does happen. Great video.
Got a 2005 Blazer nice lil ride got it for a great price too.... having the same no start issue gonna buy those parts today.....i think you hit the nail on the head.....im sure you just saved me a lot of cash my Brother...Thanx....keep up the good work.
Thank you. You are very good at what you do. Plus you explain the problem along with giving us a good visual of what you were doing, and how to fix the problem. I hope this is the only thing wrong with my 2003 Silverado . Peace and Blessings to You
Excellent logical analysis in troubleshooting the problem. Your explanation of your thought process was very concise, to the point, and easy to understand. Keep up the good work!
My Silverado is doing the exact same thing. I changed the fuel pump, fuel injectors and spark plugs. It was running like a champ. One morning it started to do this. I pressed the value on the fuel line that feeds the injectors and fuel shot out. SO now I will try this
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair it was the distributor cap. I went directly to it since I watched your video. Now the check engine light it one, and has a mild misfire, but Ill go to autozone and let them scan it
Great technique and explanations in plain english. detailed and shared use of logic and good introduction of concepts and ideas. You earned a subscriber. Those heater hoses are leaking at a spor called a heater hose connectors. when you replace them do not use Dorman units; they blow off.
Very good process to diagnose and fix, every step you follow make sense with the previous and next one without just guessing and it's very easy to learn for us without mechanical experience, congratulations on your work, keep it up!
That's 4 the step by step I learned something new with the crank senor I know it's some good I now believe my cap and rotary is bad it's been setting in crappy weather after my wreak it still ran but not anymore once it's started I can focus more on the body has 2 function first .Thanks
Excellent video explaining step by step and those distributor caps on the 4.3”s were a design flaw, no rubber gasket to protect moisture from getting in the distributor, these vehicles are notorious for this issue, otherwise the 4.3 is a workhorse if properly maintained.
Very nice video, I have a 03 silverado and my truck won't start the first time when I started every day, now I have a great ideal to fixed thanks to you good explanation exelente good job thanks 👏👏👍
But technically your issue could have just been caused only by the coolant being caked on the inside of the distributor and the D-cap and roller could have still been good since you cleaned off all of the dried couldn't so technically you probably didn't even have to replace the roller and the distributor cap and probably just needed to clean all that dry coolant out. But very nicely done, great job sir. 👏
Thank you for the video. You are a great teacher and explain the process very well. Where should I look if I’m not getting any spark from the ignition coil?
Thanks for info . For sure the heater lines are the problem because I have seen those gm caps looking way dirtier and arced up . Moisture like antifreeze is a killer for sure .
They also have known issues with the intake manifold gaskets leaking - those distribuors are garbage, made out of plastic - I am currently going though this in my 4.3 vortec, aftermarket makes a replacement distributor made of aluminum I am gonna try that
Excellent video you explain and show everything in detail I am now a subscriber by the way I have the same truck and I'm having the same problem thank you for the video
Excellent video. Thorough methodical and well explained. I would however like to raise one point for your viewers if I may. You noted that the distributor cap and rotor did not seem to be worn and you identified moisture inside the cap. Is it possible a new cap and rotor weren't necessary as the moisture could have caused vapor lock inside the distributor cap in which case one could spray wd40 inside the cap dry it out and likely that could have been the problem as well. Just food for thought. In any case Loved your video keep up the good work
