This car has all the right parts and is very similar to my build... very sharp example of a Mustang, the way it should look and sound, like I , you have added bullitsIls and cobra bumper, very nice and I’m still looking for a pair of bullitt/Mach/Cobra seats.... nice
the catted midpipe will tone down the lope slightly. the 262s have a fairly decent lope. I have an off-road H pipe and super 44 flowmasters so the sound is a little more noticeable...
+Chris Campbell Yeah the stage 2 comps sound very close to stage 3s I'm just worried that the Magnapacks will kill the open lope sound that these flowmasters have. Magnapacks are loud as hell, even louder than Borla stingers, but it's way more throaty, sounds completely different than flows.
+Chris Campbell How is daily driving? Did you lose a lot of low-end power and torque with the stage 3s? Sorry still commenting on this video my 2v build date is getting closer and closer lol. Figured out how I'm gonna get the lope with magnapacks and it's probably gonna be shorty headers to offset the catted H.
+Calibur43 Driving on the street isn't bad at all. I only put a few hundred miles on it a summer, but I don't mind cruising it around town. Its a little temperamental at low RPMs with the larger cams, but the steep gears get it higher up in the RPM range quickly. If it were a true daily driver I would probably choose a smaller cam to be honest...
+Chris Campbell Yeah I'll be throwing in some 3.73s to counteract any temperamental city driving that may happen, the power range of the cams is above 2500 anyway. Do you get more lope with an H pipe vs an X pipe? I've heard X pipes smooth out exhaust and often kill the lope somewhat. I'm pulling the stock mid pipe.
I'm still running the stock short block and pistons aren't notched, so its the advertised 10:1 that the TFS heads puts the compression to. I have a Teksid block with a set of Boss rods and DSS pistons that I'm going to be building in the next year or two. Compression for that will be right around 12:1...
those are some good numbers with what your modifications are. I'm not certain if I want to swap heads again to the tfs or just get the kenne bell. .lol. I'm hoping this winter to buy the parts for the trans. new flywheel and clutch with aluminum drive shaft etc. plus I love my cams since I had dss pit my engine together. I jave the comps xe270ah's.
Thanks! If you are debating between the heads or blower, I'd do the blower. It will be more bang for the buck. 270s are a good cam. They have a wide LSA which will be good with the Kenne Bell...
+marine0331inf I like longtubes personally. Im trying to squeeze every bit of power out of my setup, so I run them. If your supercharged its not really going to make a huge difference in power, but the sound is night and day difference. I will have longtubes on any mustang that I own whether it be N/A or supercharged...
Sweet car. Have you taken it to track? I plan on doing a similar set up but I want to do tubular k member and aluminum block to really drop weight. I'm able to get my hands on an 01 cobra short block. I just want to know if 350rwhp was enjoyable in the car or did you feel it still needed a lot more to put a smile on your face lol. I want to build it once and be done. So I'm really trying to decide whether to buy n/a cams or blower cams depending which route I go.
My next build will be the 5.3L short block( Big Bore Boss Block) from Ford... 195 cc TFS heads stage 3 CMS NA cams and 11.5:1 compression on E85 42 Pound injectors and a tune Long Tube headers off road X pipe and SLP Loudmouth 1 or 2s I have a OFF road x pipe and flowmaster 40s now. Short clip driving way too early to make a lot of noise BTW anyone have experience with coil overs? feel every bump I hate them.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7JF8JCmF5sA.html
This is the best sounding 2v I've ever seen. What is your exhaust setup? Sounds like flowmaster 40 or 44. Have you done anything to make sound of cams noticable while tuning or is it just normal sound of it ?
Thanks man, the exhaust is MAC long tube headers, BBK off road H pipe, and a Flowmaster cat back that I welded in Super 44 mufflers to. The tune is just normal, but the cams are pretty large, so that's where the sound is from
Very clean car man. Mine is in the shop as we speak getting the spoiler delete done. It’ll look very similar to yours. What exhaust set up do you have in this video if you don’t mind me asking?
brotha plz let me know the tire profile style width name rim size the works... I got a 2004 40th anni edition I paid 1800$ in pretty good shape with a few bolt on mods and 411's in the rear.. And these wheels are the exact style im gonna put on so plz let me know.
How about a video of the dyno? I mean, seriously, if you can make that kind of power with the few upgrades you have then you have a unique car. No one online, or in video has recorded the numbers you claim. You will change the community if you prove it is possible. Hell, you will help people save so much freaking money it is stupid. Until then, they are just claims that are not believable.
Take a look around the forums. There are a lot of people making the same and more power than I am with similar mods. It's not 1998 anymore, people can make decent power from an N/A 2 valve. I made 324 at the wheels with smaller cams a few years ago. I stepped up in cam size and gained 25rwhp, and the Edelbrock was worth another 10 at the wheels. Here's a video of the old setup. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0mlRfVWxjgA.html

Okay, you CLEARLY, in this other video have more than just trick flows. My point is, and has been, you don't have the power you claim with only cams and 38cc heads. Yes, 324 is achievable, obviously. No doubt. Not my point. Claiming that power with only heads and cam upgrade? AGAIN, no. In that video with 324 at the wheels you have a different Throttle Body and CAI. So, OBVIOUSLY, not stock. My point, NOT STOCK. Everything I've said is; not with those mods N/A. With more mods, absolutely. That is 100% possible and probable.
Drivability is great. I had 4.30 gears in it for a while and it was annoying around town because I'd constantly be going back and forth between 2nd and 3rd gear through neighborhoods. I've since changed to a 4.56 gear and I love it. I'm not in between gears anymore and the car cruises around like stock. I'm not sure how big of a converter you would need (3000?) or how that would affect drivability around town...
Chris Campbell yeah for those cams it says 3k plus so 3,600-3,700 should be well enough but that’s awesome man yeah I have 3.73 gears hey bro do u have Instagram if so add me monroe_5.0
So beautiful!!! So only heads and cams and full bolt on's equals 350rwhp?!?! That's so impressive because I have mostly seen 300rwhp max with FBOs and cams (stock heads)!! 👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks! The heads really woke the car up. When I first put the heads on I had a set of smaller cams from Modular Head Shop in it and it made 325rwhp. I later switched to a larger set of cams from Cushman Motorsports and picked up 25rwhp. After that I went with the Edelbrock intake and 6061 plenum and went to 360rwhp. I lost some torque going to the Edelbrock intake but switched to a 4.56 gear to make up for the lost torque off of the line...
Chris Campbell ohhh ok well right now I have the XE270AH comp cams and they suck so I’m gonna go with these cams they seem like a really good soiled cam
Wondering if clean, unmolested New Edge’s are going to start kicking up in value now? I know that clean, low-mileage, 3rd Gen Camaros have really started to get spendy the last couple of years…….😮
I would imagine that they will start to gradually go up in value. You figure it's going on 20 years since the new edge was made. It's getting to the point that I really don't see them in everyday traffic anymore..I would normally see clapped out V6s but even those are few and far between
@@chriscampbell9040 - Maybe. I bought a pristine, one-owner ‘01 GT three years ago with only 8000 miles on it for $11,500 - the same condition and mileage in a Gen 3 Camaro today and they’d be looking for $20k - $30k depending on whether it was a RS, Z28, IROC……💰
@@ddellwo I agree. I bet if I sold mine right now I'd only get 10-12K for it. Honestly I haven't driven it in a few years. It's sitting at my parents house in the garage under a cover while I work on my other project at home. Sometimes I consider selling it but it's really not costing me anything to keep it. Once my other car is finished I'll get it back over here and get the Teksid engine built for it that I have sitting in my basement.
@@chriscampbell9040 - Yep - mine is sitting too - I’ve only put on about 150 miles since I bought it! Was actually looking for a Thunderbird when I happened upon it and I bought it just because it was such a unicorn - unmolested low-mileage two valve. I really need to get it out more, but too many cars and not enough time……😂
This thing sounds so fucking mean, I have a 2000 GT that I'm gonna be camming with stage 2 comps (xe268ah) in a few weeks and I'm definitely aiming for your tone and lope like especially at 0:54. Do you think I can come close or do you have any insight if I'm working with a catted H pipe and Magnaflow catback with Magnapack mufflers? Did a manifold swap, full bolt-ons etc. It sucks cause my state requires cats.
@@crownvictorialifestyle4421 Funny how I've seen many make these numbers. And btw one with head's cams bolt ons made 360whp, and he ran a 10.8 in the 1/4.😉
Karl Hopkins trick flow couldn't even make that much on their engine dyno but everyone else is 🤔 Trick flow tested their top end kit and can only manage 380 horsepower at the crank That's with no accessories A better intake than the pi The CMS cam is not much bigger than the trick flow stage 2 And if you can't prove a link to this 10.8 2 valve with trick flow heads then it's simply a fairy tale to me Also was it done on a dynojet Or was it done on mustang Dyno
Karl Hopkins and I wouldn't spread too much rumors off of a form The forms people can lie and tell you anything they want and you passed on false information and then the next guy continues to cycle Most of the trick flow setup that I've come up on our videos like this guys sitting around just simply showing off their car and not one video at the track or a street race I myself would rather spend money 4-valve heads which will bet trick flow heads in all directions for the same price And flow over 330 cfm ported
@@The03SilverGT stock short block, trick flow 38cc heads out of the box, Cushman stage 3.5 cams and Edelbrock intake. Running a 4.56 gear with a 5 speed
oh wait, I'm sorry I said stock short block but I lied. I'm running aftermarket oil in it and I'm sure since I didn't specify that, EVERYONE is going to call me out. you talk about stupidity...seems you're the only one that needs shit explained. oh hey I have 30# injectors too, that must add like 20hp too right?
350rwph? Not with those mods on N/A. If you heads aren't even ported and you are still rocking the PI intake you are looking at 320 to 330ish tops. That is with supporting mods, which you say you don't have. PI intake is great with FI to a point but N/A it struggles hard past 330rwph. If you are still running stock CAI and TB along with gears, you are going nowhere fast. I'm more inclined to believe you have 350 at the flywheel than at the wheels. Not to mention you are approaching track-only for a 2v n/a build. Once you get up in the 370 range you bog the engine to no tomorrow if you try to put it into gear below 2500 rpm. Past 370 rwhp in the 2v you need to be running a power adder of some kind / FI to be cruising on the street with any sense of enjoyment. Not to mention your bottom end might hate you if you spin into the 7k range.
I have 38cc stage 3 port and plish racing tfs heads. Along with stage 3 n/a racing cams. 47lb injectors, offroad xpipe with longtube headers, 4.10 gears, 75 mm intake with a stage 3 ported Eldelbrock intake manifold, 6061 elbow, upgraded fuel rails, JLT cai, street tune as well as my weekend racing tune. Street-tune I have 372 at the wheels and racing tune I have 413 rwph. When I had the PI intake I barely touched 340 with a 70mm TB and BBK CAI, tune, my ported heads, cats, and the rest of the upgrades I listed. Couldn't pull any numbers past 5.3k rpm because the stock PI is crap unless you are doing some kind of NOs or adder. Even then, it will fail to support well. He has stock PI intake, stock CAI, stock TB, stock stock stock, and no tune. Stage 3 cams without a tune are shit n/a. Stock intake with cats, stock exhaust can't support them well enough to hit those numbers in the top-end. Even if his heads were ported it wouldn't matter. Port doesn't mean crap unless your intake is matched up to your heads. Sorry, but NO, he can not pull those numbers. The trickflow top-end rebuild kit non-sea dyno setting only pulls 315 rwph. SAE it only pulls 331. The eldelbrock he has wont do crap-all because the tfs will bottleneck negating the upgrade. He can't spin past 5.3k rpm because of the intake. Give me a video, any video, of someone with his setup pulling those numbers and I will believe it. Considering people with a better setup can't even do it + a tune I can't believe it unless he is rocking more upgrades than listed. Heads can help, but not as much as he is claiming. Stock you only put 220 down with a manual transmission and he only has cams and heads upgrade, yeah, no.
@@CelinettaTheWitch Here’s a GT with no porting of the TFS heads, stage 2 TFS cams, a bullet intake and tb. Only 20 hp away from your 370 street tune. I can’t imagine I or anyone else here would need to explain how much more power he could make with different cams and so on and so forth. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xygze2QK9FY.html And another: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-404TkZiUE7c.html So yea it’s possible, there’s many others with 340-350 rwhp.

@@devorickjohnson7714 Hey Rick, how do you like the super 44 Flowmaster’s with the long tube headers and H pipe? I am contemplating on getting some but As of now I am running borla stingers and they sounds good but not as loud as I would like it to be.
@@1456941 how you doing brother, I love the super 44’s! In my opinion I just like the old school deep tone from the Fox body’s. You get a nice humming when cruising and a head turning reaper when you open it up lol. Plus the sound matches the speed, unlike cheap straight pipes. No offense to those who like it. Just my personal preference 🙏🏽
