I remember as a kid back when these cars were the newest stangs and I always rolled the window down to hear them. No car sounded as good as these and I still feel the same way.
@@joshlankee-xm4fo My comment was unclear. I went from and 04GT to a 14GT. Swapped the whole car ;). Also the 400lb difference is very noticeable. Went from a chassis developed in the mid 70s to one devolped in the early 2000s and it felt worse. A coyote in a new edge would be fun.
They definitely can make power. Met a guy in Mapelton with a stroked factory block 2v and a big single turbo and he made 1200hp and kicked everyone's ass
I've had both. The 5.0 can definitely sound better especially at 7k+ rpm which the 2v can't get anywhere close to. The stock exhaust in the 2018+ GTs sounds amazing as well.
@@skrip2143 they run out of breath around 5250-5500. Sure you can rev higher but they actually make less hp after that point as the torque drops off tremendously.
@@DanielBlaney autos generally can take advantage of higher revs though in gear because the gearing is so widely spread it drops you right into the powerband on a 6500-7000 rpm shift
@@DanielBlaney false, my trickflow 2v have hit 7 k many times over the last 5 years, that is my shift point……depends what head you are talking about, and how it’s set up……
Nice video man...Love the appreciation people have for these cars, the more footage of them the more legendary they become and the more valuable they will be...
I sure hope they gain value. They’ve lost value significantly over time. I can find a good one for around 7-8k where I live, but a perfect one with super low mileage is hard to find. They price around 12-14k. I’ve never seen one more expensive than that unless it’s been boosted or charged, and of course you get flexibility with the price since a dealership won’t have that
Someone in NC has the black gt in the first clip because I saw it last night. Dont know what exhaust it had in the video but I think it has borla stingers on it now.
0:09 Man..... I want my 2003 Mustang GT to sound as loud as that!! I have an after market mufflers, and BBK Offroad X-Pipes (no cats) and stock headers. All I need is an after market headers to make it even louder than ever!!
The first one sounded good the second one was very loud ya they sound good it's just their not fast enough for me but that's just me my mom has a 95 cobra with Flowmasters sounds like a old school fox God bless
Cams fix that. I'm running comp 262ah with tfs valve springs and a Brenspeed custom tune. They bumped the rev limiter to 6700rpm and it pulls all the way there.
It’s crazy how different a pi sn95 sounds compared to a non pi’d sn95. I had both with the same exact exhaust setup and the pi sounded way way way more aggressive and nastier
Give me this, with a little switch that will turn the cutouts over to as quiet as possible without hurting power too much. Have it shut down and restart the engine out of gear, real quick, to change over to a “silent” tune.
They were on it when I bought it. I believe they’re from American Muscle. They’re 03 cobra rep wheels in 17x10.5(maybe 10) and 17x9.5(maybe 9). 315/35/zr17 and 275/40/zr17 tires.
Nice video but in my opinion they all sounded like loud crap except for the blue new edge with white stipes but that one didnt floor it so maybe it does sound like loud crap too. At least its an incredibly resilient ford v8 motor making them sounds though
Slp loudmouth with offroad x pipe without cats???? I like em better with the cats you don't get all of that pop or cackle on down shifts and through the rims it cleans up the sound and makes it crisp and stays just as loud.
Never have figured out the lowering after driving one with all the Major bounce i see it as Distroy in the Mustangs handling As there's not manny left As Ford got into Limo Mustangs and too Brain dead too bring back the Fun Mustangs again
Honestly, as someone whose been doing this for 25 years you’re far better off getting a used blower with an intercooler. If you can pull the motor out and open the ring gap, do the clutch you can make 550 to the tires on E85 EASILY it will last for tens of thousands of miles. 2V love boost.
