Had no idea replacing the oil was this easy, it sounded daunting as I was thinking about bleeding brakes. Thanks for this, time to replace some oil!

I followed your instructions completely on the shock oil. But I have no rebound. I filled and left a few millimeters. No rebound

Cool man I just found this video I just got a new xmaxx I did this same exact thing 1.5lb rate springs and sick covers lightening but green and I used 60wt oil lol this crazy how close we did the same thing. I noticed it does roll a little easier but has way better handling

I always tend to check and refill with the weight oil that suits my style of driving - in addition sometimes the shocks are not properly filled from factory either....

Thanks for the video. Very good explanation. 👍🙂 I got my X-Maxx only a few weeks and have 60 WT oil here; but why should we go with stiffer suspension? Is it better for jumps? Or better for bashing? 🤔

When going to such a thick oil (I run 70WT), the stiffer springs help return the shock back to droop settings after compression. The thicker oil CAN slightly counteract the softer springs.
