I rarely used Spotlight, and reserved the Z key for ZModeler. For those who wish to set a different hotkey to Spotlight wheel on/off, the right Spotlight button to Ctrl-Alt-Click on is not in the Texture menu - but in the Transform menu, right next to Gizmo 3D.
To use Spotlight as a Ref tool without sculpting it accidentally: >Brush >Samples > Turn off Spotlight Projection (correct me if im wrong I accidentally found this)
Do you know what I can do if I have "z" assigned for another thing (Damstandar brush) and how can I switch between sculpting and spotlight to have another hotkey?
just wondering why mine isn't painting the whole texture but instead is treating the texture like a brush tip and kina of splatting it like photoshop's mixer brush?
sorry I missed this, but just in case you don't get the above reply, the edit spotlight (button for "Z") is in the transform menu, at the top beneath move and next to the gizmo toggle!
