on the very rare chance you check on the comment section of an 8 year old video, I think the Smart Transpose Mask Brush doesnt work with alphas anymore? for me it is entirely greyed out...
Can you do a video of creating a sprue to a ring. Similar to this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gqWothIzoQw.htmlsi=WM7fGXNv1fn23BKE
Hi Mchael. As my goto zbrush guru - i wa wondering if you could help me solve an isue? :) For some odd reason, when i export my blendshapes to maya (using zbrush's feature) they get exported to maya with they're y flipped! ive no idea why as exporting using the fbx exporter works fine. Also if i change any of the export flip preferences - nothing seems to change!. Would you know why this may be? 🙏
In the distant future, when Pav leaves this mortal earth, there will be a gravestone. And the epitaph on that gravestone shall read: 'Here lies Michael Pavlovich - his topology was modified, he was deleted, and here he lies hidden....
Thats not how Gradient is working for me...for me the gradient just applies to the brush alpha,(polypaint or sculpt) so if ur colours are yellow and blue, the alpha is just yellow on the edge, and blue at the center, and whether your stroke is light or hard doesnt change the color at all
ok so what if i want Sculptris Pro to be forced turned on with a certain brush? say...that smooth brush with 0 intensity for Tessemation e.g.? I see under Brush > Sculptris there is a setting for a reminder function, is that all?
The inflating algorithm isnt quite the same though, at least for me, when i compare inflate to the Smooth-let go of shift-inflate, the latter one first smoothes away the details, then inflates, even if i let go of shift immediately after i tap
Hi Mike, incredible video, thank you for your time. I'm having an issue where I make changes tot he mesh in Zbrush and send it back the correct way, but there aren't any changes? Any thoughts? thank youu
To use Spotlight as a Ref tool without sculpting it accidentally: >Brush >Samples > Turn off Spotlight Projection (correct me if im wrong I accidentally found this)
i wanted to copy your custom menu, and was able to find all the buttons, except for "show" under "modify topology", could you tell me what it is? also when i boot up zbrush my custom menu is gone, and i have to copy and paste the ZStartup i saved into ZbrushDate under User
I only just found your channel and got to say, these videos are better than Reallusion's tutorials, you explain everything whereas sometimes they just gloss over things leaving us guessing. Thank you so much, now subbed.
How do you edit the Tongue Outs/Ins/Downss etc in the Edit Expressions? There's no button to open the jaw. I don't think you cover this is your video. Many thanks.
Hello Michael, Thx for the great video ! It is very useful indeed. Let me ask: Is there any way to wrap a cylinder all around with a low relief flat subtool, that is genereted with an alpha which was created from a bitmap image? As you shown; overhangimg parts creat an awkward result...
quite a few ways to do that - if you can fit the alpha to the objects UVs, just bring in as a displacement map and apply the height, or use UV > Morph UV, apply sculptural changes to your object while it's flat, then morph it back to it's cylindrical shape. If you can't use UVs, you can always make your sculptural changes to a plane, and use gizmo deformers to make it into a cylindrical shape, etc....
Didn't have that much time this couple of weeks to fully watch everything as I usually do, just finished switching my account and re-subscribing on this new account. Just wanted to thank you for sharing this one, so much knowledge! When things go rough first place to try and find out if there is possible solution is your channel! Keep on rocking!
