I like you guys used to sail a lot on my Islander Peterson 40 even lived on it for about 10 years. I then purchased a home at Lake Arrowhead while living there searched the internet for a 1989-1992 Monaco Crown Royale motor home. After 4 years of searching I found the one I had been searching for in Coalstrip Montana...A 1990 The Crown Royale 36 foot diesel pussier. Two years later, I have the house sold and am living full time in my "Land Yacht". The commonality of boats and motor homes is astounding. After all you're still in a 12 volt world. Enjoyed the video keep them coming.. In the near future me and my dog Smith will be launching a channel as well...Take care guys..

Ozone generators are awesome!! You rent them.grom your local tool rental joint like Ace hardware for 50 bucks a night and then have them run for one or two days...it gets rid of smells like smoke and pets. We've used them in the past for various reasons.

Setting the solar panels up so you can tilt them will give you 40% more power. When its late in the year the sun is low and you can get lots more power by tilting the panels... 28w laying down and when there tilted it jump to 56w. something to think about should you need that little bit more..
+Lankster Price Tilting does give more power but it's also more of a hassle to deal with everyday at different times. We just put a bunch of solar up and leave it flat. We don't have many power requirements so 400 watts more than enough covers our LED lighting, 12v low amp draw fans, 12v pumps for the head and water and computer charging. We have a propane stove, heater and hot water heater and for a fridge we just use a Yeti 50 qt with some ice. Being in the States you are always so close to stores that we leave to go camping for a week or two and then the ice melts and we eat things that don't need refrigeration. Even back on the boat we could have gone without a fridge but since it might be months until we can find a good store with meat and also to freeze Tate's spearfishing catches the Engel 12V fridge on the boat has been really nice to have.
It's great so far. We have a gas generator yes! We use it to make coffee, run the microwave (which is usually just to heat old coffee) and run the small vacuum we have.
Don't dis Carl Hiaasen! His books are hilarious! LOL funny....give that one a try, he has written 20+ books and Strip Tease was made into a movie with Demi Moore and Burt Reynolds. He is a Florida born nature boy, and all his villains (of the books I have read) want to plunder the environment, so even though he sticks to a formula, he creates some wild characters. I liked and subbed.
Hi Tate and Dani, I just stumbled upon your channel watching RV videos. There's another channel called Gone with the Wynns, they have great videos, with great updates tips, and they are currently looking for a sail boat to continue their adventure from land on to the sea. Maybe sharing eachother's experiences can prove to be worth your while. :)

+Greg Wierzbicki There are a TON of people who live on sailboats, RV's or both. We met many sailors who spend some months back in the States RVing and some months in the Caribbean in their boats. It's a great way to live that is very freeing. Whenever people start talking about us buying a house one day in the future I start to feel claustrophobic.

I'M A PLUMBER BY TRADE SO I CAN DO PLUMBING REPAIRS ON OTHER PEOPLES RV'S AT WHATEVER PARK I'M AT JUST PUT A FEW CARD'S ON THE PARK'S BULLETIN BOARD AND RUN A DISCOUNT SPECIAL FOR SENIORS WHICH I DO ANYWAY, I ALWAYS GIVE THEM 25% OFF ON LABOR. IVE LIVED ON A FIXED INCOME AND IT'S NOT EASY. COULDN'T IMAGINE DOING IT ON THE ROAD.
I enjoyed the video but I hope next time you give the names of the product you used eg, the name of the cleaner you used to clean your roof and did it do a good job,,,,,,also I am not familiar with the use of a ozone generator and why did you use it in the motorhome,,, what was the purpose ?
How did the ozone generator work for your I have a small one that I keep on my boat. I'm not a full time sailor so the boat stays locked up for months at a time and can get a little musty. I run the ozone generator and it helps a lot.
We don't have a converter. We have 400watts of solar and they charge the batteries that we have and we just use 12volt stuff off of that power. We only have 120v power when we run the generator or plug in(which is like never!)
hi guys! so are you able to run your appliances strictly off of the solar charged battery bank rather than a generator? i was toying with the idea of removing my generator altogether, installing a bank of lightweight LiPo batteries, and putting solar panels on the roof. thoughts?
+Rj Kelley Hi! Tate and I worked for 5 years and saved as much money as possible before leaving on the sailboat trip. So we are living off of our savings and just now recently starting making a little bit for doing these videos which helps. Also we don't have kids. Hope that helps.
+Mark Ferwerda Thanks...the music is Free so we don't infringe on creators copyright laws so we don't always have the best options. Also we downloaded of a bunch of free music when we had free internet and while travelling it's very hard to research other great free music (which I'm sure is out there) but we'll work on it! Thanks for the suggestions.
Solar panels....The roof of your RV is filthy..Shouldn't you have washed and or repaired it before screwing the panels over dirt ..that roof looks way old ready for water leaks to happen somewhere sometime? The more screws the more holes to develops....Just saying...Wink-...
+Teddy Chris We washed the area that the solar panels went on top of with soap and water and then mineral spirits. The holes don't leak...we are pretty good about fixing leaks since our second life is aboard a sailboat. I do wish though we had washed the roof top before just for my OCD. I washed it afterwards and it looks brand new. The caulk is in good shape all over though we bought some self leveling dicor to have just in case and also for maintenance.
