If you never replaced an alternator on this truck, it’s a pain in the butt. I hope this video makes your job little easier.
1. Set aside air filter and coolant reservoir aside by removing just tow bolts.
2. Remove the alternator belt by taking the tension off the belt from the pulley tensioner.
3. Remove the pulley tensioner.
4. This is the hard part: pry out the alternator then push it through the two lower radiator hose.
Note: the most difficult part of this project is getting the alternator back into the bolt slots.i had to use a crowbar and force the alternator back into its position.
