Great review as always Rob 👍 the Piloti was quite anticipated and it's good to see BBR didnt dissapoint. The alcantara interior and all the carbon work is probably the highlights for me. I think BBR do a lot of innovation between models and try new things which is great. And I'll be checking out Dutch Model Cars for sure 🙂
I'm jealous as usual... Beautiful is an understatement and I think I have to invest in some BBR cars after watching your videos! Also I have to say, these are the very best 1:18 car reviews on RU-vid hands down! I'd actually spend money on a model based on your reviews. Please keep them coming! ;)
I don't recommend to buy a MR Collection Ferrari 488 Pista. I had both the BBR and the mentioned and the BBR is by far superior. Overall just better for me. So go with a BBR
Great video as always. I got the Blu TDF version and it is one of my favorites in my collection. Regarding the missing WEC logo in the center (as well as the WEC script on the passenger side of the front stripe), BBR actually commented on the BBR Collectors Facebook group the following: "Ferrari has not given us a license to apply logos, we have not forgotten." But that being said, Unusual43 has created a separate decal that they have applied on all of their Piloti's in stock. Maybe they would be willing to sell them separately.
Good to know, I did not see that post on FB, and I know Unusual43 was applying that decal to their stock, but it is highly unlikely they will supply that decal to others.
I asked bbr about wec logo, they told me: BBR won’t make this model as Ferrari does not authorised the replica of the logo . Look the reference: PREO_P18188E1 in bbrmodelstore, the carbonion wheels. Hope bbr will do those wheels in the next 488 pista piloti 1/18. Great video robs!
I figured the WEC was specific for a driver that raced in the series. My guess is they could change it, or remove it based on the driver and where they raced. Not all were WEC. For BBR and MR, they kept it plain to leave it ambiguous. It would be great if BBR let us pick a number and race series for our models. That would be awesome.
Yes, these are all my models, I have been collecting for over 20 years, and not all my Ferrari models are BBR, I have a lot of Hotwheels Elite, some MR Collection and Looksmart and a few Davis & Giovanni
