I used to run a Cincinnati Shaper just like that occasionally when I was in the Navy 1985”-1990” . It was antiquated then but I ran it for fun, a carbide insert face mill will run circles around it all day long, that’s why you don’t see them in shops anymore.

You have to join the RU-vid machinist creator lineup. Abom79 would want to do a shaper shootout and Oxtools would drool over how you do your handpieces. Shop tour please! The nice thing is you manufacture stuff and can give some real world examples of how to do stuff. Thanks.
