Back in the 70's this was a Monagram kit and they were pretty nice. I'm working on the Ju87 G-1 now and it's not as good as the one I built 45 years ago. They're made in China now and the tooling is showing it's age.
This was originally a Monogram model and was first released in 1963. That's the reason for the simplified details and working features. Trying to compare it to a modern Tamiya or Hasegawa kit just doesn't really work. Super glue works just fine as a filler. I have no idea what type that was but I use black flexible super glue for filling gaps. Having accelerator handy also helps.
" The Good Bad and Ugly". Actually a pretty good weekend modeling kit. I think they had to sacrifice some kit detail by molding for those movable parts . Way back in the old days before a variety of fillers came along. We'd use the old formula of clear thick Testors the kind you had to be 18 to buy :-) Slap on a heavy coating on fuselage halfs and let it dry then " cut" it off. Worked pretty good.
Those old monogram kits are not bad budget/fun builds. They are not extremely detailed and are somewhat fun. I usually tell try those kits first then move to Hasegawa or other better kits
No matter what… You should’ve done a better job building this kit, left a bad impression on me… 😂😅😂, it’s all good only built this kit once, a long time ago… Not a very good kit, too many moving parts for a model kit… MONOGRAM / REVELL made better kits…. CHRIS 🇺🇸
