with the current meta what are some good ways to play batman? fin gives me a ton of trouble his speed and batman has no real way to counter his sword on the ground. also are there any good ways to learn how do proper inputs? I keep getting grapple even tho I wanted to do a down special in the air. I tried fixing it with dead zone, but I still have plenty of time where I try it and still get grapple.

I feel like he underutilizes it to be honest. Some moments in this fight he could've used the bag to extent a combo. But the way he uses the apple and his movement is so good

@@nitsuj6555 I think he utilizes his teleport a lot more because of that which actually makes his finn even scarier cuz you don’t know when he’s gonna pull out his back pack

When I was watching a 1v1 On smash brothers melee they said that its basically just a guessing game. I think that’s the fun part. Just keep moving around random places and hope you can hit your punches🤗

Finns entire move set has broken hitboxes

@@Prestinoo I’ve seen clips of his down attack being able to hit players that are above him😭

It happens with other characters too. Superman could be flying a whole different direction but the moment you touch the back of his leg it’s grabs you

Mainly, ice, I’ll take that, and triple jump.

It’s good for comboing

Ice is extremely strong right now, the slow is too much even with 1 stack, batarang can get you up to 3. It’s easier to combo and slows them down, allowing you to be much faster than them most of the game.

Freeze is 100 percent useless on Batman. Use that's flammable doc. The batarang got to have enough momentum to knock back someone to get 1/15 ice. Eventually you'll get attack decay which is harder to get consistent knock back. Around 5/15 ice stacks is when it's hard to get knock back. The ice will wear off in 3 seconds when not touched by it. Flammable perk though is where it's at. On hit with batarang starts the flammable, hitting them ignites the opponent allowing each hit of a combo for a short time do more damage. Since you'll be using batarang in combos every time you get a chance to , the flammable perk works really well. Couple it with the extra damage with melee on the ground perk it'll build. But I do recommend to just stay with flammable and 2 utility perks

@@Jotchuaa so heres the thing I've been debating, do the few extra points per hit really beat out the benefit of a mobility perk plus a cdr perk like "ill take that" (assuming triple jump is always on) i keep trying things like thats flammable, hit em while they're down, 5% increase to horizontal/vertical/ground etc damage, but it just seems so marginal. Currently im running ill take that with triple jump and increased air movement, and i feel like i have way better mobility and cdr with only a small loss in overall damage output.

@@clipCommander101 yeah you can do different builds. I want the extra strength because my combos chain for a while. I have decent movement plus the smoke so I don't really go to the utility perks for the whole build. You and definitely go all utilities like coffeezilla,air acceleration and the base speed increase or 3x jump. I need to go back to 3x since I've been better a juggling lately . I'll do testing to see if killing vertical is something worth doing more often. Usually I like keeping them in my face because If I send them upwards I'm not the best for following up right now. I'm a lvl 21 Batman but I do have loads of experiments

even then, up b is pretty small. Unless you’re using it in the air, then the hit box is bigger because of the cape extension, but it comes at a cost of less knockback. Thats why I spam it on the ground if it’s not staled.

Yup, he doesn’t have moves with great kill potential, just all about constantly racking up damage through combos

nah id be afraid too, that shit is deadly. 2 times ive been killed solely off the grapple

@@Kaimerah that grapple has to be so fkn sour for u batman mains, i played a really good batman who lost solely off trying to grapple me while i was charging up as Shaggy, dodged his swing, and he ended up swinging out, confirming himself at the top of the map

The issue is most of the time he loses trades against up airs for a lot of the cast.

@@daviddavodi big problem with how good Harley is. Throw either of her up airs on top of it and it’s hard to beat her as Batman.

nah his up special and up tilt are a lot more reliable. a good player will always beat out ur Dair with a higher priority attack. get underneath them and knock them up and out with batman its a lot more consistent
