appreciate the fresh video edit (like different angles, camera motion, the clone trick...) it was really pleasing to watch! keep on going - in my opinion, you found the right and nice way of filming things. can't wait for another vid, Cam!

dam gonna miss being at the lives - but nice work - like to see how the registration system works in more detail in screen room and on press - i saw a 8 color table press doing process printing where they were using a single station and dropping each screen in place that completely made me rethink registration and my life for that matter. Hi Cam, I'm looking at your registration set up and I was wondering how you came up with the placement of the "Grid Pallet" that is positioned inside your registration rack system. Also is that Grid pallet in the center set to the exact thickness so that when you place the screen into the reg system the screen is just touching the grid pallet? Thank you in advance, stay well.

Hey Cam, I saw in one of your videos where you said you put up a video on how to do transfers without a printer. What is that video called. I don’t have a printer and I’m thinking about hand drawing on a transfer sheet. Would that work as well?

Not to sure if you have a video like this already.. But a video showing how to remove lets say a Gildan printed tag or B + C tag and how to make and print your own custom size tags would be great!

Hey sorry to bother. I am new to screen printing. So new I still can’t get a screen to burn. I use vinyl to make the few shirts I have done. But I have tried making my son some shirts made out of this sports flex fabric. And at the end when the shirt stretches my paint cracks. Is that just the fabric or am I doing something wrong.

Hey Cam, I think you picked up that old reg system the same time I did. If ya don't mind, and have time, can ya share some more info on your setup you made? I see that you are using it as more of a reversed setup like the Roc style, eliminating the carrier sheet.. Looks like you solved some issues!! Thanks
@ThePrintLife
@ThePrintLife 4 года назад
That's exactly what It is. The carrie sheets are bs crapola. It basically a reverse now, the way i built it has 1 major flaw in that the bumper dont touch the same spot in the screen as the pallet, to make It perfect I need to fix that issue. I think M&R Need to update their system.

@@ThePrintLife So if you were to just mount the exposure part of your tri-loc upside down on your raised board, would the get the stops, on the press side jig in the same location?? If Im on the right the track, the preregistration side has the solid stops on one side and the press has them on the other.. Ya.. I see it now that I watch the video again.. Im deffenatly doing this asap.. Thanks

Has your press always been that low? My back started twinging just looking at that! I use push strokes when they work and I can get the quality I want. But I don't think I could pull it off on that low of a platten. Ow! Now I gotta go stretch my back just from watching!

Jo man, i started screen printing this week. But when i tried to screenprint my first shirt with waterbased ink the first print was fine... but when i printed the second shirt the lining got bigger and the logo became garbage. Any advice how to fix this ?
@ThePrintLife
@ThePrintLife 4 года назад
Not yet water based printing is tricky, You simply gotta commit to working g with it allot get good results, our biggest struggle is drying time, it dries so fast here in Phoenix.
@20vK
@20vK 4 года назад
Did you use Water based emulsion?
@Cool_Papa_Funk
@Cool_Papa_Funk 4 года назад
Most emulsion is water soluble, so yours was probably breaking down - basically dissolving. You can wipe it down with a hardener, let it dry, and you'll be good to go. Keep a spray bottle of water handy and keep the ink in the screen well hydrated.

Man, I like that setup of the raised registration mark platform. I'm going to have to incorporate that into my workflow. Was that part of the sprung pre-registration frame system or something you added to it?
@ThePrintLife
@ThePrintLife 4 года назад
It's an old triloc from M&R, Anatol has a similar system for way less money.
@20vK
@20vK 4 года назад
@@ThePrintLife sorry Cam, I knew the aluminium parts were tri-loc, but does the raised registration board with markings on it come as part of the tri-loc system too, or is that something you added?
@dustypagel2391
@dustypagel2391 3 года назад
In all honesty though, with enough experience, it's possible to line up jobs without the system, although it does seem like a good investment if you want. I've been printing big jobs for 17 years and, I ain't worried about it but, don't let my words discourage you. If you can use it, go for it
@woogdesigns
@woogdesigns 3 года назад
All of that is unnecessary, especially on a manual in my opinion. On the auto, yes I want them close on pre reg, but perfect is absolutely unnecessary and a waste of time. I line all screens up to film on pallet anyway. Super fast and 99% accurate.
@dustypagel2391
@dustypagel2391 3 года назад
@@woogdesigns hell, as far as that goes, I just draw a centerline down the pallet and line either under base or final outline color to that, start a practice with that color and line all others to that, keeps the artwork away from any potential ink transfer
@woogdesigns
@woogdesigns 3 года назад
@@dustypagel2391 yeah man there’s so many ways to do it. I’ve definitely found there’s not trick for experience and finding what’s fast and effective for you and your set up.
@woogdesigns
@woogdesigns 3 года назад
That one minute doesn’t account for all that time in the dark room I guess lol. I find all that unnecessary. I line all screens up to cross hair and center line. Perfect reg first time 99% of the time. Pre reg doesn’t need to be perfect on a manual press, just close.

Hey man, just seen the video. Maybe the rego was faster but all the steps before shooting just added up to the same amount of time anyway, way too many variables. Pin systems and direct stencil to screen always make for quick up times (such as MHM autos). I agree with you on the whole push method of printing, never understood it myself. It's too much effort and feels un-natural, shit even in your video your body is using way too much effort for just one stroke compared to a simple pull stroke, plus you've got no option to pull or push the screen/squeegie in another direction if you need a bit of help printing in rego. Keep up the Vids man, been learning a few things from you during the downtime. Hope you're busy during these crazy times. Rich, UK, 8 years auto and manual printer
@ThePrintLife
@ThePrintLife 4 года назад
I agrees the pull allows more adjustment if you are having trouble with clearing ink or what ever. I have to say this little system I created set up for pre reg is crazy, even with the screen burning and all that the fact the it was in reg first shot is crazy. the next test is to see if I get the same results with a 6 color job.
